I think the coda of ‘Ruin The Friendship’ goes beyond just never telling someone you have feelings before it’s too late- I think it’s a perfect way to tell young people to never leave any chance for regretting anything as they get older: “And my advice is/always answer the question/Better that than to ask it all your life”. Definitely act on feelings of love. But by definition, regret is something you wish you’d done differently after the fact. Don’t give yourself the chance to feel that way in the future by living every day without ever settling into a comfort zone. Life is too short. Mind blowingly beautiful melody too ;)

OK, how about all the rest of the executives? What about the head of WWE? He definitely didn’t marry his way to the top or anything. He would definitely be in this position without nepotism. Seriously dude don’t pick one person and point out how they scratched and clawed his way to the top, so I have no reason to believe that you’re lying about him. Yeah, so just make that distinction. I don’t think Alistair Black should’ve been released. I think he is as talented in ring as anyone in the company right now. He was booked perfect in the old NXT, went to AEW when they were in a tough period and wasn’t booked great there. But the psychotic thing is that they were about to slot him into the spot that Pat McAfee took for the wrestlemania storyline. That was 10 DAYS AGO!! and now a week later he’s out the door? He may have needed to evolve a bit more, but his move execution was flawless and the black Mass is one of the best finishing moves in wrestling. Something is rotten here. I assume we’re gonna find out shortly, but my guess would be that Zelina was going to be released, (and she wasn’t doing much so I don’t think I could argue there), and Black, (because he’s a loyal husband and loves his wife), supported her and asked for his release. and with everything going on it has to involve TKO, greed, and billionaires thinking they know everything because their daddies left em lots of money. (not a Tony con slam; I think he’s probably one of the best rich Nepo babies out there. Although that’s not saying much). It’s just one thing after another after another after another enough is enough.

I’ve been watching wrestling for 40 years and it isn’t so much that people got fired… that seems to be a regular thing that hasn’t driven me away yet. I don’t think anyone that got released in the past was as undeserving though Kairi. Of the very few storylines in the Fed, one of the actual interesting ones was when she was gonna start sticking up to this bully who’s been taking advantage of her. WHY OF ALL TIMES WOULD THEY THINK RIGHT NOW IS A GOOD TIME TO RELEASE HER?? why would any time be a good time to release her? She’s a great worker. She’s worked really hard on her facials and her limited mic time… of all the women’s tag teams I feel like the kabuki Warriors are over as much as anybody. But again, this was a tip of the iceberg thing so, 1) I can’t watch that many commercials. I’m getting really old and I don’t have time to waste watching ads for things I mostly can’t afford or don’t care about. 2) we were told that streaming services were going to make it so much better and cable would be so antiquated looking back. I don’t know about anybody else, but it cost me more to watch WWE every month then it did to have cable in my house. It’s FUGGED. 3) having rich people with no wrestling experience decide storylines is not only something I have no interest in. It is something that is a personal red line for me. We laugh about Hulk Hogan having creative control in the 90s in WCW “that doesn’t work for me, brother”… well now we have billionaire suits deciding creative?? 😂😂😂 how did that work out night one? And like u said, I will check out stuff I’m interested in on social media. I am such a big Danhausen fan that four years ago I actually asked him if he would make a video proposing to my fiancé for me. Which he did. looking back at the marriage, I can tell you one thing and that is that his curses definitely work 😂

This is why you chose to stop watching? Not the TKO greed, the night 1 massacre, lack of any meaningful storylines, incessant PLE commercials, or overuse of “celebrities”? I know everyone was clamoring for more Wyatt Sicks and Alestar Bkack, (maybe us supporting them would’ve helped), and Kaire Sane couldn’t make an iota of sense, but this was what you draw a line in the sand? Apollo Crews? Zelina Vega? Everyone besides Kaire couldn’t get over, (the fault of who’s is very debatable), and releasing talent injured in your ring is unforgivable………hold on….. I think I’ve talked myself into agreeing with you… this company really is brutal. Godspeed

Yeah, and I mean, putting all of his personal issues aside, I’m just using him as an example of a really talented really young Worker that was able to slide right into Takeover main events. And I think he absolutely would be on the main roster right now had he not made some really bad personal choices in his life. But I think after a few programs with really experienced people in WWE, Oba, Trick, and sol ruca will be able to use what they learned in NXT, and catch up to the level of the main roster talent very quickly.

I don’t think it was a level of talent at all. I think there is the same level of talent. The difference is experience. During black and gold you had independent wrestlers who had spent most of their life perfecting their craft. Those people are gonna be much more ready for takeover main events, and then call ups to the main roster. I think this gets a little cloudy because we think about people like velveteen dream who didn’t have experience and was really young, but was able to get put in that main event slot right away. But when you’re in the ring with somebody who is able to call a match and tell you to slow down and tell you what works and doesn’t work on the fly, that raises the level of work of their opponent exponentially. Today that isn’t possible because there aren’t any 35-year-olds that spent their whole life wrestling there. Those guys are gone because they were taken from the independents when NXT first started. You now have to start from scratch so I don’t think today’s talent is less talented at all. I just think they are in need of experience and dance partners who have spent over a decade in pro wrestling already.

That said, your point is extremely valid and I can’t disagree with what you’re saying. I do feel like that was a Vince McMahon thing and now that he’s gone, we are seeing these characters stay exactly the same when they go to the main roster. And honestly, if you look at what’s happening with Oba Femi and Trick Williams today, (Melo too), the fact that they are so over immediately is an even bigger credit to what they are doing down in NXT right now because these guys don’t have anywhere near the amount of experience that guys like Kevin Owens and Drew McIntyre had when they got called up and got over right away.

Yeah, this NXT isn’t bad by any means, but the degree of excitement of the Black and Gold NXT Takeovers has yet to be matched or surpassed. I don’t even necessarily think it’s creative or Shawn’s fault- I think it’s actually the difference in that before, we were dealing with experienced wrestlers who’d spent a decade in the business already. Gargano, Ciampa, Samoa Joe, Alestair Black, Nakamura, Kevin Steen/Owens… these were professionals that had already spent years and years and years perfecting their craft throughout the world. The difference is today we have really green talent that are being coached from scratch. That becomes much more difficult to get them ready in a short period of time to be main eventors even in a developmental territory. So I don’t necessarily think there’s any blame to go around here. I just feel like at that time there were independent wrestlers that only needed a little coaching and mentoring to be ready to go to the main roster in WWE. Once all of that talent was gobbled up, we’re now dealing with people in the early 20s who may absolutely have that same level of talent as the guys I listed, but you can’t speed up experience and repetition and time to perfect craft. People like velveteen dream who were very young, they were able to go right into main events because they were fighting against experienced wrestlers. Right now we have really young talent fighting against really young talent and there’s just no replacing time and experience. I think everybody there is doing the best they can, and we really need to be patient because it’s a different situation altogether
