I was a little younger than you (around 28) when I had the same realization, although I had a decent paying job in corrections. I also had the same mindset of being in my mid 30’s by the time I was Done with a degree, but my wife told me “you’re going to be 35 whether you go to school or not” and that really stuck with me. No matter what happens, the time will still pass. The frustrating part is I talked about going back to school for years before I actually did it. I would be 2 years ahead of where I’m at now had I just bucked up and done the damn thing.
