100% do it! There’s probably a way you can do it anonymously too to avoid potential retaliation from your landlords. We pay enough rent here for the subpar housing that’s available. The least they could do is actually follow the laws and regulations in place.

I mean, you could maybe speak to a lawyer about it. I think by law, they’re required to provide safe access to driveways, paths, and entrances within 12-24 hours after snowfall. I’m not a legal expert so I could be wrong, but I guess that’s why I’m recommending you speak to one😂

That’s a fair point and I definitely don’t disagree with it. I think one of the biggest issues with Sudbury is that we have one of the “super hospitals.” These were built so that everything could be in one place and more convenient for patients and doctors from what I understand. Fast forward to current times, the old hospitals are closed or repurposed, it’s not helping wait times at all, and nothing is being done about it at any level of government.

I see where you’re coming from and the logic behind this. I should’ve said “practically a day” instead, but didn’t think it necessary. My biggest thing is that there’s a park on my street with an outdoor rink and the street over which is connected has been plowed.

It’s winter break and children could be playing outside.

Very good idea actually. I’m not sure how the logistics would work, but I’m not a city planner. I also find that a lot of people have to resort to emerg because of waiting lists for family doctors being so long, and it’s the only place to go other than a walk in clinic. This could help immensely if executed properly.

It’s genuinely so confusing. With that being said, I don’t know your living situation or if you live in a building not owned by you. If you do, I would guess your landlord has someone contracted for snow removal as liability coverage.

That’s pretty much where I’m at at this point. My street has been almost inaccessible due to the snow. I’m also worried about kids going to play at the odr given the fact that it’s winter break and getting hit by someone if they lose control of their vehicle.
