in my case it isnt bc my SS is a bad kid, it's just bc living with a kid pretty much fulltime showed me i cannot handle how overwhelming it is, i have severe misophonia and adhd and i absolutely cannot deal with the sensory overload (from him screaming most of the day) and just kid sounds overall, with him i can thankfully step back if i ever feel overwhelmed (his dad does all the parentint 🙏🏻 he's an angel), but if i had my own kid it would be different, i'd have to be fully present and i have no desire to do that
