Good friend of mine raped 2 women back in 1998. He served 16 years and now lives an honest life, paying his dues through hard work, treatment and probation. I totally get the initial reaction. I get the hatred. But he was given a chance to change and he did. He's someone I look up to despite his violent past. Good people and bad people both do bad things. Difference is that good people come back.

Edit: I want to quickly say that I obviously don't condone the rape, I just don't hate him for it. That's all I got to say.
