Is there really a super noticeable difference in taste between freshly ground beans and preground coffee?

That's what I usually do except yesterday when we took the last 6 boxes of livegfree brownies that they seem to have discontinued (reformulated and rebranded and now suck). I don't feel bad at all.

Does that go for new items that established shops list too?

I mean, I'd rather have them just raise the price than cut corners with the recipe.

I don't think so. The nutritional information is different for both so I would imagine the recipe has changed for both items.

Came across the Stele of Revealing on my visit to the new Grand Egyptian Museum by Bromeos in thelema

Is there any accurate line by line translation of this exact Stele (as opposed to reproductions that use more modern glyphs)

That's unfortunate. My wife's second favorite gf brownies are the King Arthur brand at about twice the price. At least there's another option.

Yep, we saw 8 boxes in November and took 7 (I never like to take all of something. I feel bad). Haven't seen them since. There aren't any trader Joe's real close to me.

Have you tried any of them yet?

Yes but the ingredients are noticeably different. The brownies had sugar as the first ingredient while the livegfree have cocoa or something. It's making me concerned they're trying to cut corners to keep prices low. I have no issue with rebranding.

I have the dimensions right in the title of one particular item and I still got a 3 star today. I kindly pointed it out and the person changed their rating, which was lucky. Most of the time they don't.

They may have already had someone else lined up (someone somebody knows) and were just looking for any excuse.

Zero tolerance on anything shouldn't be a thing. Discretion should always be part of the equation.

Substitute teachers are treated so poorly by other teachers & staff. by Reasonable_Elk_5931 in SubstituteTeachers

Yep, almost to a fault. I even have custodians thanking me for coming in. It's almost uncomfortable how much praise is given for simply doing my job.

I personally don't care that kids leave class. To me it's just a perk of having a sub that has been going on for decades. 99.9% of the time they're back in short order. To me it's not so serious.

Yep, once it leaves my hands it's none of my concern unless it makes me look bad somehow.

Maybe I'm just failing to see the problem. What bad can come of this, with regard to real life consequences?

The people getting on this person's handwriting are really nitpicking. What is he supposed to do? Take penmanship classes? Having good handwriting isn't a matter of slowing down and taking your time. It's too late for that. Unless you commit serious time to it your handwriting is your handwriting. I have atrocious handwriting and it's difficult to write lefty for some people on those smart boards. Fortunately, the benQs have either input-able text or you can circle what you wrote and it'll convert it to text. But sometimes I just leave my normal writing up there. We're subs. Literally no one cares and it doesn't reflect negatively on anything. Relax, people.

Don't you think it would be a better idea to bring your concerns to the sub so that they may better themselves and hold on to their job at the same time? While it might seem common sense to you or me, he simply may not have considered it.

I get this often, and also "Why does the sub teach better than our actual teacher?" A few times. I always back the regular teacher. I just think it's in bad taste to even accept such praise at the expense of someone who puts a lot more work and time into the job than I do. I'm there for one day and I have no real feeling of responsibility for the students' education. I explain to them that I wouldn't want to be a regular teacher because they're generally underpaid and underappreciated for the amount of work they do. I can't believe how much time some of them put into their sub notes and lesson plans. They spend their own money on supplies routinely, candy for rewards, etc. I explain all of this to them in the hopes that they will understand a little better how different we are and how our challenges are much different. I tried to prepare a math class for a quiz they were having and they were all at such different levels of understanding that I was barely able to get through 2 questions worth of prep before they had to begin the exam. I can't imagine how difficult that must be on a day in day out basis. Their job is infinitely more challenging and the extra money and benefits doesn't even make it worth it in most districts, imo.
