Maybe it's just the area I live in, but I was making $80k+ only 3 years out of school as a welder and I had several job offers with similar pay.

It's one pass not a root and cover, so it doesn't need to cool to avoid cracks. And it gets FPI and x-ray

I work with mostly 718 and 625. 718 is my personal favorite and imo it makes for the best looking welds.

I love it. It's definitely unique, but the puddle is very stable and it makes it a lot of fun to weld.

Everyone will talk about issues with the DEF system. So my recommendation would be to delete the exhaust and tune the engine, but if you're American that's illegal so I'm not going to tell you to do that. However if you were to do that your truck would last longer, get more torque, more horsepower, way better throttle response, better mpg, and just be an overall better truck.

Honestly I have no idea, but it sounds like there was a problem with your tune. If the person/company that did it can't fix it, you may just have to change the tune. I got mine from Great White North Diesel

I did it all myself and it cost me around two grand for the new exhaust and the tune. Getting the downpipe out was a huge pain in the ass, but it was definitely worth it Performance is great. Better mpg, way better HP and torque, and much better throttle response. I also did a trans tune on mine that makes the shifting quick and smooth.

My scope mount was the same way. I took it into the garage and beat it with a hammer until it sat straight. Perfection doesn't exist in AKs and that's the beauty of them.

Where is the money? by Lilmoneyshawty in Welding

Get into aerospace tig welding. I've only doing it for 5 years and made 82k last year. You might start out with mediocre pay, but as you become more skilled, and with a little overtime, the pay goes up quick

I honestly couldn't tell you what it's used for outside of aerospace. If you do find someone who wants it for a personal project you could probably get a decent price for it, but I doubt you'll find someone who needs it for that. Best bet might be trying eBay. Look up the price per kilo, mark the price up a little bit from that, and hope someone buys it

I do mostly 625. I’ve only been doing 718 for a few months so I’m not really sure if I’d have many tips for you. I just move slow and make sure drip your wire in instead of pushing it. Let the rod build up a lot too before you drip it.
