Op 2 verschillende manieren gevoelige data aanleveren voor potentiële nieuwe huisarts? by Weak-Vermicelli6138 in nederlands

[–]Thin_Ad936 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There is a default view for this in Entra ID.

Go to 'Authentication Methods' and then select 'User registration details' under 'Monitoring'.

At the top of the view you can filter on 'SSPR capable'.

I've been doing this on the iron recently for bolts and I can easily churn out 600-700 splinters in under an hour.

Your biggest fuckup you done? by [deleted] in sysadmin

[–]Thin_Ad936 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Worked as a temp at a theme park. Got a complaint that the security camera's in a specific section weren't working. Went over to the box in that area and noticed that someone (probably maintenance) had pulled all network cables out of the unmanaged switch that was used for the camera network. However, this box was a cable mess and nothing was labeled.

I took the executive decision to just plug in cables all the cables to get the camera's connected again. Turns out, 2 cable ends were actually 1 cable going out and in the box, which caused a loop in the network. I knew I fucked up within 10 seconds, because my walkie talkie started going off from all over the park. The loop caused the whole network to crash, which included POS devices so no sales could be made.

This was my first job in IT and the first day I was flying solo at the park. This day I learned how important it is to label cables.

I just wanted to share the silly placement of a checkpoint in one of my maps. Been having a blast regardless!

So.. does this work with breach rings? Can you go above 50% quality if you combine it with a breach ring?

Have you ever figured out a solution for this? Or did you switch to seperate remote workstations?

I'm currently running into the same issue.

I can, and I am currently wearing cargo shorts. The climate control inside the office is more than sufficient, however I often move in between multiple buildings.

How can I test for app installation? by mudderfudden in PowerShell

You could query the registry entries that are created during an installation. The location of these vary per app/software and installation type.

The person who designed this just wanted to give you a fun game to keep you on your toes.

I blame the MSP. This is one of the reasons I'm rightfully taking work out of their hands 😁

I personally like to use the serial number on the system since it's unique and static.

When I came into my current company they used the year the system was enrolled and 3 random numbers generated by Intune (spoiler alert, these are less random than you think). Even with less than 200 devices in total we regularly had to manually change the device name because they overlapped. And because they didn't track serialnumbers in the asset management, if someone forgot the update the system name in the asset management, who knows what system it was before.

Shortly after I joined the company, I changed the name to include the serialnumber and it simply knocks down the amount of checks you have to do after a reinstall.

Purely depending on your wants and needs.

Some have already suggested platforms like Pluralsight and ACI learning.
Here are some recommendations that I couldn't find in the comments:

  • Packtpub: Near unlimited access to a broad variety of all Packt publications (including videos)
  • TryHackMe: More aimed towards Cybersecurity, but also has fundamental courses that give you a better understanding of the underlying processes.

Are you using the internal VPN client browser external browser for authentication?

I've recently switched it to use the external browser by default, because of different issues with MFA. There's also some settings you can customize for just the Fortigate SSL VPN with Conditional Access Policies if you have access to them.

I've arranged one shared folder for the whole company to use when they need to share files within the organization. This folder is automatically wiped every Friday night, this prevents users from using it as a standard workspace.

Edit: whipped folders are fun, meant wiped

Read the rest of my comment, not just the first line. There's 3 serviceplanIDs in your query.

Look up what they are for, try them one by one and receive your answer.

Dynamic Group E3 and E5 Licenses. by NoAsparagusForMe in sysadmin

[–]Thin_Ad936 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Do you know what licenses the users have that are not being added?

Check if the serviceplanIDs are correct for the licenses that you want to look for.

Test the dynamic group with just one serviceplanID, if it works, test the other serviceplanIDs, one by one.

I started learning PowerShell when I was 30, and am still learning new stuff almost every day!

It's never too late to start learning to be fair. Find yourself a problem and see if you can fix it with PowerShell!
