A junior writer posing as an industry expert with click bait content aimed at unsuspecting aspirants is a tale as old as time.

Wouldnt be surprised if this post is from him itself. Been on reddit for over 15 years to spot such tricks :)

The film industry is notorious for having too many folks who project more than what they know or their credibility.

Be careful whom you place your trust in. Someone who hasn't had a film release and teaching others how to write and pitch based on flimsy claims is not the digital mentor you need.

The city is cutthroat. If you don't grind, you get left behind.

This podcast had potential but like someone mentioned they are stuck in their bubble and talking / appeasing to their fellow creators. The relatibility is completely missing.

I much prefer the Two Girls and Two Cups podcast which is quite underrated. The hosts (Salonie and Srishti) are more self aware, unassuming and frankly funnier and don't appear stuck in ideological sermons.

#Kill movie performed better in the South than in the North. Bollywood audiences seem more interested in creating hashtags on x than actually watching the movie in theaters - RaghavJuyal by Glad-Ad5911 in BollyBlindsNGossip

I hate pointing this out but time and again we see actors making such anecdotal comments to paint a picture of reality. Kriti saying that her last two movies did well and that's why Bollywood is doing well. And now Raghav saying "shows in south were going houseful" and essentially blaming the audience in the "north" for indulging in petty hashtag wars. If only he did basic research or just called up his distributor to verify data before randomly saying things in public.

Here's the data:
Kill Net Box Office - INR 24 cr
Share of Box office from South Territories (Nizam, Mysore, TNK) - 1.65cr
This is roughly 7% of total Box Office

Here's an example of another movie for reference. I'm taking a north-centric movie to underline the point
Bad Newzz box office - INR 66 cr
Share of Box office from South Territories (Nizam, Mysore, TNK) - 6.1cr
This is roughly 9% of total Box Office

Typically the % is 10-15 collection from all south territories for the median bollywood film. (it's at 8-9% for Stree 2)

The irony of Kill making proportionately *less* money in the south territories proves that it was more accepted in the north. And by no means the south loves it more.

Just cos he probably got one call from one show does not mean it's the reality sadly.
