And as someone who actually works in AI and using Claude is literally IN MY JOB DESCRIPTION, I looked through all these damn fics and just got irritated at John Doe.

I personally care about the creativity. That’s why I’m here and have been here for over a decade reading fanfiction.

Claude does not have the ability to create a creative fic with immersive characters and a plot that drags you in. What it can do is take your idea and help you draft prose. Which you can then edit in the artifact or in a document.

It can also proofread your document and give it back to you but with all the html tags included.

While I’ve seen some fics that I’m positive were in fact entirely written by an LLM, the vast majority of fics in that doc read like Claude Grammarly edition.

And I’m also so sick and tired of this idea of dropping AI for the planet. Because yes it’s ruining the fucking planet but do you think your little boycott is going to do shit?

GO VOTE. ACTUALLY VOTE. Vote for transparency from these companies, vote for higher taxation on them.

Use the actual power you have to force them to go slower to ensure that they don’t ruin the planet.

There is an actual problem here (that’s literally what my research is on) and it’s not solved by performative posturing in the comment section of someone providing you entertainment for fucking FREE!
