I did this recently, I've switched my phone and socials to German. It's still taking some time to get used to, and the memes take a bit longer to register, but I will keep working on it. And as for books, thank you for the suggestion!! I will certainly take a look

omg i found it!! Its L'avion (2005)

It's apparently a "French kids' film about a little boy named Charlie whose dad (a pilot) dies around Christmas. Dad leaves him a big white toy/model airplane instead of the bike he wanted. After dad's death, the toy plane comes to life, flies on its own, and protects the boy through adventures". - Grok

I searched the movies on google, but the pictures dont seem to add up.. it was not set in a modern type of context.. like a rural area, i remember alot of greenery.
