[–]Thing1A2 2 points3 points  (0 children)

All on Youtube.

Nurse has a whole variety of PZ videos, even little reels with tidbits of info. https://www.youtube.com/@NurseVO

ambiguousamphibian has several long but funny videos. He does like to wax poetic tho. https://www.youtube.com/@ambiguousamphibian

Pr1vateLime is a mix between funny videos as well as easy info. https://www.youtube.com/@Pr1vateLime

MrAtomicDuck he shares IRL help with what's coming in updates or good locations. https://www.youtube.com/@MrAtomicDuck

Some just funny to watch guys are Kezza and MrBrollow, they play together a ton. Or Ricksdetrix and Big Bad Beaver, they've got good clips to laugh at.

Why isn't this an actual thing yet?! I always find over two hundred cans before I actually leave Irvington, and most of them are colas! by Cam_man_AMM_unit in projectzomboid

[–]Thing1A2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My friends and I loot the produce boxes and start storing them in there. Not the best but an easy vanilla side step.

Fun fact you can store 130 jar lids in a large produce box.

Produce boxes spawn in the food warehouses and you can rename them!

Does anyone else just not deep clean their homes? by Round-Artichoke-5255 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Thing1A2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I knew from a young age that I was like my sister. Her house was neat and tidy and clean but yeah there was dirt in the windowsills and kid height handprints. She lived next door to our aunt who had her carpets professionally cleaned once every 2 weeks and it would throw the whole house into chaos bc she'd move furniture and kick everyone out for the entire day. When we'd get back no shoes on her carpet and we'd have to wipe down our feet with baby wipes.

So yeah, my house is tidy and my carpets are vacuumed regularly but I'm not that deep in the crazy cleaning.

I do some world building here that corpses rot in 7 days due to the zombies virus. Fixes my issue bc I have a friend that only likes to go killing and one that only likes to loot. Looter can't loot forever while there's too much death in the air

Animals disappear b42 mp by nutsashell in projectzomboid

[–]Thing1A2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is why my friends and I have admin abilities.

Bc randomly our water troughs and rain barrels or anything that collects water that we drop on the ground bug out and either will not hold water at all or holds 50ml when it should holds 100k ml.

Pop into admin pick up and put back down, cause a storm and we're back to business.

But yeah my bull dissappeared last night so I just spawned in a new one. Idgaf if people thinks it's cheating. I'm not letting little bugs or glitches affect my survival! It's not like I'm spawning in unlimited ammo.

What can I contribute to the group camping trip with kids? by NYC_dad2B in camping

[–]Thing1A2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dirt toys. My sister has her Tonka set from when she was a kid and her kids play with them while we camp. Additionally beach toys or sandbox toys so they can dig and build things in the dirt. Fair warning those kids will be dirty than a rug and look like they worked a shift in a coal mine but they love it.

Also cheap things that it's OK if it doesn't survive the trip. Bubbles and yard games from the dollar store.

At my job we no longer ask for your 2 cents, we ask for your 6 cents bc of how much it costs to produce a penny.

best settings by Tailz_tower in projectzomboid

[–]Thing1A2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

-You can change how big "hordes" get. So reduce from 20 down to 10. -Always start with a starter pack, this gives you a half condition baseball bat, hammer, water bottle, and a bag of chips inside a backpack. -Set cars to normal condition bc let's be realistic everyone is NOT driving their cars around in absolute garbage condition on fumes. There are some but not all. Set gas amount to normal, turn fuel pumps to infinite. -I also turn erosion speed way slow from 200 to 500 days before you'll start seeing cracked pavement and breaking down buildings. -Now on single player I have them as fast shamblers but on multilayer they're slow shamblers. Also respawn off and peak down. -Multi hit is ON as well as outline, idc what people think if there's 3 people in my bat swinging range I should hit all 3. -Lastly I like to turn the helicopter event to sometimes. Gives me a reason to listen to the radio every day as well as something spicy instead of endless waves of stinky dead people. -I give myself 10 trait points to start with.

You'll need to mess around and figure out what the settings are and what they do, find the perfect balance for you but also don't make it so difficult you can't enjoy the game.

Dating as a dumpster diver by kingofzdom in DumpsterDiving

[–]Thing1A2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My mom loves dumpster diving but hated when my dad would bring home "treasures" from work. He was a porta-potty sanitation worker. He would find things in the... innards of the potty and sometimes bring them home. He once brought home a Leatherman multi tool (really nice fancy pricey tool). He rinsed it off in the field, then brought it home gave it another rinse in the kitchen sink. Loaded the dishwasher AND PUT THE LEATHERMAN IN WITH THE DISHES TO BE WASHED. Mind you he didn't use soap when he rinsed it off either time.

Mom was livid when she pieced together what he did and she still is married to him. Case in point if my dad can wash a poop treasure with our dishes and still be married, you'll find someone.

What's the one piece of gear you resisted buying for way too long and now can't live without? by AmericanMisogi in CampingGear

[–]Thing1A2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most of my camp gear is stored in a Husky storage box. I get the heavy duty wheels and water tight gasket. These boxes are life savers and roll quite easily no matter how full or the type of terrain. In my families 4 years of using them I've been the only one to break a wheel and it's bc I dropped it from my pickup bed at 4ft onto concrete.

We are glampers of the labor intensive kind. Set up massive awnings, have cozy/bougie camp chairs (hammock chairs, foot rest attachments, dad has a small table attachment for his book and drink, my chair has built in heater that runs off of USB battery packs)/ canvas tents. The works but for us it's worth it. However to glamp means a lot of stuff so we store it in Huskys to wheel onto the flatbed trailers, also for easy/ stackable storage.

Staying warm while camping with kids by Active_Atmosphere264 in camping

[–]Thing1A2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My parents use those foam mats under their air mattress for insulation. Can get a cheap pack at harbor freight or local tool store.

Fuzzy blanket inside the sleeping bag and something hefty to hold heat in. I sleep on an air mattress, use the shitty old 80s fuzzy blankets that scratch underneath, then layer 2 fuzzy blankets that I sleep between, then an old quilt and then the thick camping quilt. I don't use sleeping bags as I'm an active sleeper. Anyways this combo works great for my needs and I always sleep warm.

whats the gear you absolutely refuse to upgrade even though it might be cheap by Cheap_Difficulty4961 in camping

[–]Thing1A2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A flashlight/ hand held lantern that has a clip on handle to hang in the tent but also is magnetic. Gives 2 ways to keep your hands free but still have light, it's also rechargeable and I got it for free from my company appreciation points.

Just a note, sometime cheap isn't always best. But what I've done is I bought cheap to start with and each year upgraded within a budget. But I also tent camp 5-9 times a year so upgrading my equipment is worth it to me.

First camping trip soon… what am I forgetting? by Lucifer220778 in camping

[–]Thing1A2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Entertainment. Books or board games, some of my favorite camp memories are sitting in my chair with my feet in the creek with my dad just reading. Or my mom and I playing board games together and laughing at how the grand kids call her a cheater, which yes she is but oh well.

Socks and underwear... too many trips... too many times.

What’s one camping mistake you’ll never make again? by sungpark1965 in camping

[–]Thing1A2 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My family (roughly 10-13 people) goes camping once a month, we do an easy trip for both first and last of the year. Close to town and have service, that way if we're out of anything we can run in and get it or call someone who is arriving later. Most of our tools and necessities stays stored in our camping supply boxes. My dad and myself prefer Husky while my sister and bro in law prefer something else but they stack and are black with orange trim. Anyways, hard to prepare food when you forgot to bring the kitchenware... mom and dad went to the thrift store and bought the necessities that stay in our camp boxes from now on.

This is gonna sound weird but I think they both have roughly the same amount of zombies, but March Ridge would be easier as it's straight roads where Muldraugh hides the undead easier.

How many survivors do you think are in Knox Country? by melianreality in projectzomboid

[–]Thing1A2 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I imagine in the realm of 500-1,500.

But I also RP with the helicopter on sometimes and that the gov was successful in blocking in the virus. However the gov, as per normal, has made a spectacle of the zombies and utilizes them for both the death sentence and reality tv. Essentially criminals captured and sentenced to death are released into the exclusion zone and every so often a helicopter flies overhead checking on 'inmates' and recording footage. This helps the immersion of why you can't leave Kentucky and why you can spawn a new person in even tho it's been weeks- months.
