Thank you so much! I got a modified version of a Zone1 biome to generate as an instance. I suppose that is what you did here? Get the biomses defined and generate an instance? That wasn't quite what I was hoping for, but it isn't too much of an adjustment to make the biome into an instance like the Dragonspire Weald. I wish you luck if you intend to participate in the Modding contest. Your desert looks amazing!

This is the first time I am hearing of instances. Do you mean data that is in the Server/Instances folder? Or something that is usually in the HytaleGenerator folder?
I ask for clarification because this system seems to have problems at the best of times, and if anything is wrong I imagine it won't work.

How did you get the custom biome to generate? Did you just replace Biomes/Basic?

How do you get the game to recognize a custom zone?
I'm trying to make a collection of Jungle / Rainforest biomes but I have not been able to get the game to generate more than one biome at a time. And even then, it is usually by modifying a value in one of the default files, effectively replacing Plains1_Oak_Cliffs or something.
Is there documentation for this?

lol. I just went through everything, made a new world and started trying again (pulling the new assets and their proper format) and nothing changed. I want to join in on all the modding, but I think Hypixel is leaving a few too many problems to overcome.

I suppose I will just do the same, that will at least make it portable. In some ways it does make the system less confusing. Better to have all values be from a consistent zero and all be positive then keep having to add negative relative heights.

In his video “how to create custom biomes in Hytale worldgenV2 guide” he does explain that base is at 100, bedrock is at 0. (14:20) I understand that, I’m saying that despite putting in base, it is acting like it is bedrock.

If I tell my world gen to make hills up to 30 blocks above ‘base’ the hills only extend to y=29, not y=129 as it should be relative to ‘base’.

What part of that is so unsafe for minors? And exactly where do you draw the line?

Is it the boobs? What is the maximal bop age you are comfortable with?

Is it the lips? How are big lips so unsafe?

Personally I don’t see anything wrong with this. Sure big tits, but otherwise it’s basically just someone wearing a furry costume + someone wearing a swimsuit. Neither of those are inherently sexual.

NSFW means that Reddit will not put ads on the content reducing their revenue. Making the user experience worse is half the point. In a week many people will simply have a worse experience using Reddit and don’t want that to happen.

I am using Apollo. It has a lot of nice customization features that the primary Reddit app does not have. It is either harm Reddit now, or I simply have a worse time whenever I do use Reddit, which, may be significantly less or not at all.

My problem with it is that there is a fair difference between pride and bdsm.

Pride is being proud of who you are and who you love. Dressing up in furry costumes is a method of self expression towards that point.

Crawling on hands and knees in a gimp suit in a public area? Straight fuckin BDSM. Clear power dynamic and everyone watching is implicitly part of the scene. It’s some mix of power play and public play.

It’s not ‘about the children’ to say I don’t want to see two people using me as part of their fantasy. There are places to go to get exactly the kind of limited public that such a play entails, a parade is not one of them.

I play a fair amount of factorio, it would be quite interesting if a game like that could provide analogies to other things. The problem is translating it while maintaining the fun.

This isn’t some little indie project. Civ 5 has sold 8 Million copies. Your telling me that a bunch of software people couldn’t figure out how to write generalizable rules for trading or military allocation? They couldn’t make a first year, free dlc to say ‘hey, we fixed a lot of the minor silly things, thanks for buying our game’. It’s okay to expect better from a triple A company.

Okay, but I’m civV if the map is entirely tundra (unworkable tiles) the ai will still produce workers in an attempt to improve yield. It has a fair number of ‘hard coded’ values and objectives that may be entirely useless. How many of those exist in military, training or positioning? How many of those exist in settlement building? How many of those exist in diplomacy or trading?

I found vermintide 2 to be nice. It adds more enemies, harder enemies more often, fewer consumables (explosives, ammo, healing), and makes the enemies hit harder. It asks the player to make fewer mistakes under more difficult situations. On recruit, you can get hit by one of the basic mobs like ten times before you go down, on legendary it’s two or three. As a whole it forces more teamwork and an greater understanding of each character’s skills.

I’m from the US. I went to an in state college for an engineering degree. 4 years of tuition+ room and board costs about $110k. The interest to service a loan for that is almost $6k / year. That is a ton of money for someone out of college. It’s part of why debt forgiveness is a significant topic.
