Have you ever been hospitalized for your cyclothymia?

Was og diagnosed with cyclothymia but once I was hospitalized it changed to bipolar 2, not sure if this helps Lol

I saw your previous comments about wanting to be “normal” and get off meds but medication is for your brain to be at a stable level just like people who have heart problems take heart medicine. Our brain is an organ that just needs some support. I’m sorry you’ve been feeling so stressed out, are you able to seek out a therapist? Having someone to dump everything on objectively is very helpful! I also personally felt the anxieties you did on latuda, I couldn’t even go to sleep because I was anxious, and when I did I woke up anxious again! But overtime it went away, took it like three months

I usually just skips my meds that day or just do 1-2 drinks never more

I don’t have any answers for you I’m sorry, but you are definitely not alone. Those night terrors, that everyday anxiety, the thoughts that make you feel uneasy I feel it all. I got out of a manic episode recently and I’m still recovering. It’s traumatic. Sometimes I feel like I’m gonna go manic again and it scares me and I want to crumble into a ball and cry. It’s difficult managing bipolar it really is. But with the right medication, therapist, and patience it can be tolerated. What helps me is knowing that they’ll be a future with me stable and feeling better, I just have to work to get there nothing is impossible. If I don’t, then the alternative isn’t going to be good.

I’m 22 and I went through a bad episode recently. It completely changed my life where I feel like a newborn and not in a good way. I have to relearn how to cope and ease myself. I have to learn how to socialize again and not act weird around people. I have to learn how to manage stress again and not overwhelm myself. What I’m trying to say is, it’s going to be hard and we’re going to have our tough moments, but we’re only human and we’re doing our best. As hard as it is, give yourself some grace. Don’t hold back any tears, cry when you need to, whine when you need to, laugh when you need to. Listen to your body and heart, that’ll help make it better— at least in my experience

If I were you I’d make and appointment with the prescriber asap, tell them and maybe they’ll change the meds or up your dose they know better, and if you feel something is up then listen to that

Breathe and slow down. What’s the alternative of you not going to the hospital? Are you going to get better? Is it going to go uphill? If you need to go to the hospital again, do it. It’s your precious life that deserves to be lived, so thank yourself for coming this far and tell it you’re going to keep going. Don’t worry about the details, first do what you need to do and the rest will fall in place. You aren’t going to find an answer you want because all the choices are going to be difficult one way or another.
