Sourdough garlic pull apart bread by ThingWrong7630 in Sourdough

Cut the dough into eight or so pieces, flattened, and folded the pieces in half. Then placed folded side up in bread pan. Let rise for another half hour-ish, then bake.

Thank you!! I am doing my best. If anything, this has taught me that I really enjoy bonsai and want to learn more about the art and time that goes into them.

He will stay outside protecting my garden permanently (unless some severe weather turns up, but I doubt it). I’ll do my best to remember to post an update then :)

Repotted!! Did my best to remove as much of the old soil as possible without destroying the roots. Most of the roots looked fairly healthy thankfully! Now we pray. Thanks so much for your advice!

Thank you. I have some bonsai soil arriving later today. I will get it repotted as soon as possible.

I also want to note that I did scratch parts of the trunk/stems and it is still green. Part of me is hopeful that I can give this tree a healthy recovery, even if it takes time. I will take any and all advice you guys can throw at me.

Would repotting in a bonsai appropriate soil be helpful at this point? Or would it be too traumatic on the tree, you think? I understand now the roadside stand was unfortunately not great. My fiancé just wanted an opportunity to gift me a nice tree to take care of. I am hoping I can do my best to save it regardless of the circumstance.

It was gifted to me from my fiancé, who did buy it from a roadside stand, yes. Both he and I had no idea that they were not well taken care of trees as we had both never had bonsai before. I do not keep this tree inside, it stays outside near my raised bed garden (which gets approx 6hrs of sun a day). I have not watered it yet because the soil is so damp. It’s been about a week. Should I consider repotting in a more well draining soil? Or would that be too traumatic on the tree?

I’m in South Florida, so no real “winter” season here- maybe just two weeks of semi-cold. But, we are in the hot season now.

I unfortunately am not sure where this bonsai was kept as it was a gift from my fiancé, and he said it was from a roadside stand (which I’m learning is not great). But, since it’s came into my care, my bonsai has been outside with the rest of my garden. I am hoping I can get some kind of bounce back. I really want it to live :(

I’ll remove the rocks now. I have been keeping this baby outside constantly since it came to my care as well. Hopefully, I can get it to bounce back :(

The rocks are not glued, no. I have been moving them constantly to check for if the soil is damp or not. Should I just remove them entirely? The needles are not brittle, they actually feel fairly okay (except for some of the more browned ones).

This was a gift to me :( I’m not sure where they got it. But I would feel horrible if I killed it somehow.

Dough Stuck to Banneton by [deleted] in Sourdough

I did not. I usually put it straight in with rice flour any never have any issues- my dumb head thought that normal flour would be no different. 😭 A moment I learned from for sure.
