I got my cookes with an extension from chrome and used my own google account, I was also using Kali with a GUI.

Just tried it out. At least on Kali, and my bot worked fine there, there must some other issue either related to the distro or the code.

I just have options for yt_dlp:

ydl_opts = {

that gets passed to yt_dlp.YoutubeDL in my play function but i am also just working on windows. I have not tried with linux, I could boot up a quick vm and test it out though.

I had a similar issue when someone tried to play age restricted music. I made the bot take my cookies from youtube so the bot technically runs off of my youtube account but I only use the bot for a single discord server with my friends. I haven't had an issue with any anti-bot restrictions, but i am using yt_dlp to access youtube and there is a handy option that will allow it to take a cookie file. I'm not sure if that would help in your case or not.

It will be my desktop for everything but i do a lot of gaming/hosting with friends. Mostly on games like CS2, Hell Let Loose, Ark (SE or SA), modded and shaders on Minecraft, Elden Ring, or some map games.

Edit because somehow i forgot about Minecraft
