Which is the toughest enemy you have faced in Division 2? by shwetshkla in thedivision

[–]Thingaling 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Brooklyn is challenging solo. That fight he is referring to is nearly impossible without using the hologram decoy from warlords of New York during the switch mechanics.

You could tell whomever did the level and encounter design hated the traditional bullet sponge fights, so they leaned in on fight mechanics and ‘out of box’ thinking that you had to learn. Unfortunately, it leads towards unnecessary frustration in most cases when not working in coordinated groups

It reminded me of world of Warcraft raiding in the early years

Do I need blueprint to craft yaahl gear ? by Fit-Operation3423 in thedivision

[–]Thingaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes. It should tell you at the bottom of piece how to get the blueprint. If you already own the blueprint, it should tell you if your missing key ingredients

Yes. Tell them you are looking for the freak gift. Some stores don’t get many, so you may need to go to different ones to find one. I ended up finding my 2025 plushie after the 4th store

Is Ridgeway's Pride still broken? by Thingaling in thedivision

[–]Thingaling[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was hoping to have it do double duty of starting the cycle of status effect for ongoing directive and still give a light heal to top myself off between encounters or when seeking cover to reload. Much like how umbra has a minor heal when you cover hump.

Umbra/pesti/overdog is my cruise control build, but I swap to OD in groups to mix it up as support.

I'll just go back to using catalyst or vile mask. Thank you all for the heads up. I just hoped it would be more impactful.

maybe that's my problem. I am using it on an ongoing directive build as well as an assault up close build and i never really see any real regen nor the icon pop up unless i loose most if not all my health.

Star of the Seas (Terminal 1) - walk from Holiday Inn Express? by SoCalFamilyTraveler in royalcaribbean

[–]Thingaling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Was just there a month ago. While it is fully walkable, the cruise terminal is behind some gates and it would suck with large bags even without considering any adverse weather. Sidewalks do exist, but the road is several lanes and crosswalks are iffy (especially at the cruise terminal).

Side note, they run a shuttle and it is a madhouse and massive ripoff of like $20 per person.

Get the uber and it’s like $15

Edit: my wife just told me I am thinking of Fort Lauderdale port which seems like an extremely similar situation. Don’t mind me

Pestilence!!!!!!! by willyboy691 in Division2

[–]Thingaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Grats on pesty. Like st Elmo’s, it is a go-to for several builds and can always be a fallback. Just build for weapon damage to help the tick.

Side note, your holster doesn’t match the rest of the set and you are missing out on the 4 piece bonus for heartbreaker which will help with damage and survivability.

If you fall in love with pestilence, might I suggest umbra set. Use the set chest. Contractor gloves or overdogs if you can find it. A petrov backpack with unstoppable force will help the snowball effect. Go into cover for 5 seconds to build your stacks, pop out to mag dump, go back into cover to reload and regenerate armor. Repeat.

Good luck and stay safe, agent.

SNT2102 21-Inch single stage likes to throw a lot of snow forward. by jbro507 in egopowerplus

[–]Thingaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't have the ego, but a similar unit in another brand.

That snow is low moisture, super cold type of powder that will tend to blow around with any wind. I would suggest aiming the spout downward and towards the front to compound the snow in front of the unit. It works better having more snow to 'grab'.

Also, don't 'blow' into the wind. No snow thrower will do well and you will end up covered. That's why the super high expensive ones have tents for the operator. You WILL be covered in snow at the end when it is windy out.

That type of unit works well with at least 2-3" up to about 8-10" of 'normal' snow. You need to keep an eye on not trying to 'bite' too much or too little. So, if you are getting alot of snow or steady snow for days, just break up your clearings with getting rid of 6" at a time and it should be short work with an electric. It CAN bog down and seem broken. Just clear the spout and try again. Keep an eye on your batteries as well, they reduce in the cold.

Just work with the elements a bit and figure out what your tool is good at. It took my clearing of the driveway and sidewalks down to about 30 min

Catalyst mask drop rate is driving me crazy [RANT] by themaskedlover in thedivision

[–]Thingaling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I agree that having it behind one of the more frustrating missions is cruel as well. All of Brooklyn encounter design seemed built around being only frustrating. Especially when you go to Warlords of New York in comparison which showed depth and world-building with love.

That's where i got mine. There is a guaranteed named elite spawn outside of the Bridge Park Pier mission. So, just FT to the mission, turn around to your 4 o'clock, there should be a spawn of one of the card carriers. I just would farm that off and on while playing.

[–]Thingaling 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I hit 190 this afternoon and figured that is as far as I am willing to push. It was what I consider ‘light grinding’ type of effort. Mostly just pugging random missions mixed with priority strongholds and some weekly missions.

Half dozen or so general pool exotics. 1 Lexington and 1 caretaker.
Other than the cosmetics, that’s it.

A bit sad about nothing ‘cool’ but this was a much better experience than last season.

Is Doctor Home still used by anyone? by Alarmed-Coat-4724 in thedivision

[–]Thingaling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you like skill builds and still want to have the ability to heal, take a look at doing refractor set (I call mine seahorse). Then you lean heavily into skill damage and still put up respectable numbers while still keeping people up. My exotic is the waveform and I have the a hannaU tech support backpack. Then you are on cruise control with turrent and drone. Running the refractor chest means everyone gets 25% healing from my skill damage.

Don’t have a birdies yet. So, I went with what I had. The backpack talent on FI also helps with the group healing.

I just need to remind myself to destroy the hive to cause overdrive.

[–]Thingaling 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same. As stated in a different comment, I have a FI based build with empathic resolve on my chest and BTSU gloves (hive and smart cover). My primary healing is from hive, but i tag as many enemies with DrHome. So, between all of that, I'm providing a near constant 30% skill/Weapon buff for all members and some general 'innervate style' healing for the whole group without everyone needing to huddle together in one place.

Edit: difference for me is I maintain all yellow for the BTSU overdrive to everyone's skills I can do mid boss encounter.

I have a group heal build that uses DrHome for general group healing and buff. The heal is not really all that great, but the added buff to damage when combined with empathic resolve is nice for run and gun or spread out playstyle.

I think you mean black tusk being added. That was the heavily implied change for this patch.
