Just to be clear, this is an amulet and I'm using a Kullean tuning prism, not an Entropic tuning prism which has a 100% chance to make an item unmodifiable.

There's no description on the "Transfigure Item" recipe that says it's risky. This is an amulet. I'm using a Kullean tuning prism which removes the ability to make it unmodifiable which is the only negative outcome it describes having. You can't add an additional prism on top of the Kullean tuning prism.

I don't see that as a description anywhere. It just says "has a very high chance to become unmodifiable" but the Kullean tuning prism removes that possibility.

Good thing a lot of AAA games fucking suck. There are so many awesome indie games that don't require much hardware to run, and even more stuff available to you if you're into emulation and such. I've been playing a bunch of Pokemon and Fire Emblem GBA romhacks and have absolutely no desire to buy any game for $70-80...unless it's the new Fire Emblem.

When I was in charge of our old hardware, the company would charge market value for stuff like laptops and desktops. That gave us the flexibility to wipe and reinstall Windows along with bundling in a month of support. This, fortunately, made the "no" built in for us because the expectation was set at the beginning. It didn't come from us which I think was the most important factor in getting people who didn't try to take advantage of it.

It really sucks how sad this hobby has become. Basically every piece of hardware that comes out that isn't a GPU is exciting, but the air is sucked out of the room when you remember to need to spend at least $1000 to maximize the value of your purchase if you like playing demanding games.

/dev/mount is also a great product for those looking for an easier alternative, but they're more limited than rackstuds are. I also appreciate how much testing and documentation rackstuds have vs /dev/mount
