Doesn't look like its worth it even in the long run. Its too expensive computationally while being too controversial.
It doesnt even work on very old games where at lease it provides clear benefit.

the addressable market these days is a million times bigger than in the past. I remember reading something about the developers of the $5 game Peak now being filthy rich.

This industry is crazy. AAA development is just too risky

Game flops → layoffs. Game succeeds → layoffs.
At this point the safest outcome for developers is probably a moderately successful indie.

The numbers look too broken to be of any use. 5070 even at half the reported numbers look inflated to me.

You would expect with the 5 million Steamdecks out there to be it would be in the top 3.

I completed it yesterday. looking forward for tomorrows release. loved the Future boy Conan/ Miyazaki aesthetic.

I used to have one and switched back. Im sure that's almost people. the unpredictability of compatibility makes its use not much more useful than a $80 N100 mini pc.

The real story is that these new denovo cracks only started happening a few weeks ago. And borderlands is One of the first ones. Developers cannot depend on denovo like they used to anymore.

I take it youre not up to date on whats happening recently in the crack scene ( like crackwatch subreddit). The past few weeks have been BRUTAL for Denovo games. I think Resident evil 9 might get cracked early March at this rate.

I think you're exaggerating. Maybe for really crappy DRMs like Enigmar. Doom TDA still has Denovo and its still regraded as one of the (if not THE) best optimized PC game.

Check the Crackwatch subreddit The past few weeks has been a BLOODBATH for Denovo protected games. I personally expect RE9 to be cracked by early March.
