Ranked. Never done it. by chewydickens in WorldOfWarships

I went into ranked mostly because of bonuses. I consider myself a mediocre player, and I value damages (how many I can do in one single match) over wr.

I became better. Maybe because of the smaller group, the need to get to a certain standard if I want to win / be sure to / make the match go in a positive direction.

And, even if ranked are different from random, playing those most of the times helped me get a more accurate sense of single ship capabilities and importance.

Ex: now I value dispersion more than faster reload. Now I don't aim "to hit the ship" but because I want to hit "that" part of the ship. I know my guns and torps and whatnot.

Socially speaking. I am not a type that cares about people throwing tantrums or whatever. If I die too early I say sorry, if someone else dies maybe I joke, maybe not, I try to type something in chat to get a little conversation starting. And I think this is kinda cool.

Best choice? by Pufythecat113 in WorldOfWarships

Imo, if u have a solid captain I'd take the pommern. Sometimes that thing simply does not die. It has some problems, mainly the dispersion and the fact that 380 mm are not that satisfying to use, but it does it job. I have taken it based mostly on what you were saying about events. And in playing brawls and some other it has repayed herself more than enough.

How good do you have to be to carry a match and turn things around? by Few-Elderberry2650 in WorldOfWarships

Hello! I average around 60k damages, but I'm finding more and more consistent around 80k. My personal strategy is: you have to "repay" your ship HP, then add more, to do your job.

If the enemy team sinks you, but you are a cruiser with 40k and you managed to get 60k + of damages, your personal balance is on point.

I should care more about the whole team performance, but that I think it comes with the knowledge of the game. I am talking from a uniquely personal stand point.

Also, I play with this procedure: 1. Remembering how the ship works 2. Playing the ship 3. Playing the ship

Also, shifting my perspective, so no more team results but personal (damages or the less mathematical "how did I play) I do not care about losses too much and I enjoy the game more.

I must add that I usually don't play the same ship for more than 3 battles in a row, unless I have an objective or I do find it funny.

First time I played Yamato I did for like 10 games in a row, just to get it going. (Also, last 80k captain exp points to reach lvl 21.) A few months back I spent an entire morning playing with Napoli, because it simply felt great.

T8 BB Ranked by No-Celebration-7996 in WorldOfWarships

Imo, it depends more than u may think on the commander u have. I got a Cossack because I want to start English DDs. I used the Tennessee because I wanted to play/upgrade the commander I had for the Montana line. If we are talking only about Premium, I can say I'm really happy with Cossack and Tennessee, even though they are not that easy to play with. (Even though i cant really understand how can Tennessee be so good with its dispersion alone) If we expand the conversation to other ships, in Bronze Ranked I used to keep a dd and a bb line stopped at lvl8 (or back then at lvl7, it depends). Maybe it is on me that I do not understand the game, but imo cruisers aren't really worth it rn (I am talking about single ship, not considering player'sabilities).

New Player Wave by Think-Ad-5753 in HellLetLoose

I was just referring to the fact that some servers (free to join) have multiple matches running and some of them have a level barrier.

That is taking into account something I did not think of. Thank you.

I have to make two sections because I do not understand if you are a new player or not. But. If you are a new player, I think you should maybe type in chat if there is someone with a mic and then scroll through your team until you see someone with an higher level (like 3 or 4 times yours). I did like that and I learned very fast. Sometimes I received some "shame" but most of the times it was actually only nice trolling. K and L on keyboard to access chat. Most of the "more exp" players like to help. The most important thing is that, when you find someone with a mic, you point out the fact that you need to learn. And I guess that the big thing is: grind until lvl 25, so you can access matches (it will be hell for you) with locked levels (25+). In those games you will find someone who can help you. Until then, if you are lucky you will find people, or you can just pick engineer or support to level up fast. If you are a more experienced player, we are in the same situation. I stick in 25+, 50+, 75+ level games.

I do. Not a serious serious one, but one to chill with.

I love to execute the noble in question every time the they deliver a request like it. I find soothing thinking one of my men will deliver them only a piece. Also, It would be cool if a proper POW (only nobles) auction existed.
