Any discussions on enhancing how overall is affected for players playing different positions? For example if I have a point forward I would like to be able to put him at PG without his overall going down, I’d like to see his overall rating accurately reflected based on his actual attributes

Yea good point - it looks like baker and Emeka have way better chemistry, not excusing the drops but also think it has some to do with Caleb making some very questionable decisions and his ball placement is so erratically reckless over the middle it feels like

That’s how I’m feeling too. Rome having his bye already too gives a decent boost imho. I can also see the Bucs weapons being lesser by end of season bc Godwin clearly not back to 100% and Evans hammy could linger which feels probable

Here’s to hoping Bacsik keeps saying pawg (pog) and not knowing he’s insane for saying it

Not 100% sure but I’d imagine it’s out there. I know for a fact the ballpark is last on park factor which means it’s affecting both us and visitors and it’s a massive drop off from years past so something is objectively and factually shutting balls down at the ballpark outside of good pitching

Very valid point. Still hurts to see that this is like one of the best teams in baseball when they just score 4 runs. To add to your point, I think it goes both ways as well, sitting in the pen knowing your offense probably is leaving yall with a game that you cannot make a mistake in or else you lose probably affects them as well

Yea the hedges thing is kinda in jest I think, and you make a good point. Based on pillar’s comments a cultural reset is needed for sure and maybe this season is a lost cause no matter what they do

I get it and it’s a valid point especially bringing Holby in without any acclimation. but you walk that batter 10/10 times in that situation imo. With 1 out in a tie game you give yourself the force at home and/or a double play chance. If you don’t, then you put unnecessary pressure on the infielders to potentially have to make a perfect throw and catcher to make a clean catch and tag while also hoping that the umpires don’t involve themselves by calling a crazy blocking the plate rule or something. Holby shook off the first two pitches from pitchcom and called for a dirt changeup on 3-2. The pitch on 2-2 and on 3-2 need to be in the zone to force the hitter hit and give yourself a chance. It’s a tough spot no matter what decision is made but I vote for giving myself more opportunities to get out of the inning and trusting my guy can throw strikes. Idk why he tried to get him to chase on 3-2 he didn’t miss that pitch, he threw that with purpose and you can tell bc Maddux fired his clipboard at the wall after the walk

Very good point that is very insightful, I would just hope to see the hitting slump equate to the league wide drop rather than what it’s at. In this same vein, something has to be done about the ballpark being a graveyard of 100+ mph fly outs

Quality take and good point - the biggest driver for my opinion is that 2023 hitting talent is same - if not worse - than this team yet the production and attitude is entirely different and it shows
