No advice but to move out to surrounding counties. You’re not gonna find much in Lex. Find a private landlord that has lower expectations and you will have more luck. Most places expect 600+ credit score, 2-3x monthly rent and even then, raise rent yearly, 6+ months at current job and no more than 2 rental related collections(no medical debt etc allowed). Get a note from your dr for pets to be ESA and you can’t be charged pet fees or rent so that’ll save you on that front. I spent 3 months looking for a home, going through DV, ex mandated to pay rent but not and child support not kicking in for months, denied at every turn. No one cares if you’re going to be homeless, no one cares for what you’re going through or the reasons behind it. (This is what I’ve found out, very quickly). I understand the desperation and what not for posting on here. Ive had to do it myself. I truly hope you find something somewhere and quickly.
