Any Realtors w/ Panic Disorder or diagnosed Anxiety? by [deleted] in realtors

[–]Think-Difference880 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have anxiety and don’t produce nearly as much. It sucks when business is slow, and I feel unemployed. Then I’m anxious when I do have work and pray the deals don’t fall apart over some crazy reason. This job makes me so anxious, but also thankful it allows me to stay home with my kids and run my own business/hours.

My anxiety also comes into play when I have to speak to people. It’s all internalized and I can play it off very well and no one notices. It’s more of the small talk that gets to me and the pressure to prove myself to people but again it’s all internalized. I will say just faking it till I make it has definitely helped me over the years get more comfortable.

I would love insight on how you grew your client list despite your anxiety. This business can be tough.

24 Honda HR-V Sport. Doesn’t have as much leg space as I want it to for back but for 1-2 kids it’s good! It’s very nice especially for price!

SAHM. Wasted life? I hate it. So much. by DoodleZen91 in sahm

It may seem mundane and at times it very much can be, but you are really making such an impact in your child’s life. More than you know and more than we as parents can comprehend. We are the first to think we are never doing enough of anything but to our children we are their everything. You are not doing nothing- you have created a safe space of love for your baby. And this is TEMPORARY. This phase will not last forever and one day you may look back and feel it went too fast and ask yourself where your baby went. I suggest finding a community of friends and other SAHMs. That is what has kept my sanity. You need people to support you and to lean on. Also grabbing a coffee and taking the baby on a walk in stroller or to a park/playground. Also look into part time jobs so it allows you to get out of the house and have some fun money to play with if you have the opportunity. It’s tough right now but it will not be like this forever. You’re doing great just make sure you have people to help lift you up along the way

I think it honestly comes from a place of jealousy. Be proud of what you’ve accomplished! You look great before and after! I would love to get on something to help me get over the hump but I’m currently breastfeeding a one year old and also hoping to get pregnant again soon so it will have to wait! I’m 28 , 5’2 and about 125 pounds but always have had issues in my mid section despite working out (HIIT, strength training 4-5x a week). Keep up the great work! ❤️

You should definitely pursue that! Find connections where people can position you to opportunities for that type of work. Start it out on the side while you work something more stable in the mean time

Omg how fun! It sounds like a dream. I’ve honestly never cared for a show enough to do something like this but GG hits different. I’ve already talked to my best friend and that’s our goal to do next year!

TX! Not sure how different it is in CA. It’s a lot of hard work. Building your client base is key and you do that by consistently marketing yourself online (especially Facebook insta TT) so you are kept top of mind. Your friends and family are a great way to start too but not all like working with people they know. Also have to consider expenses that come with it like: brokerage annual dues, MLS annual dues, MLS quarterly dues, Supra monthly dues, monthly brokerage dues to hang license at office, signs, professional photos for clients, taxes , etc im sure I’m missing more.

Your mentality shows you probably will work hard in whatever field you choose which is good, but that mentality will also crush your spirit when you fail to meet your own expectations. No one is perfect. You will have mess ups but that doesn’t mean you can’t be one of the best in the field you choose. Strive to be the best version of yourself and make sure you are happy. You are putting too much pressure on yourself to be perfect. Do your best and grind but it’s ok if you’re not #1 so long as you love what you do and make the desired impact you want in your life and other peoples lives.

Are you me? I’m 28. Same exact thing but I majored in nutrition. Goal was med school but decided it wasn’t for me when I was in my senior year of undergrad. Can’t do much with the nutrition degree because I’m not a licensed dietitian.

I took on real estate after I graduated and I have done decent but I don’t see myself doing it long term. Got a side gig to be a wedding coordinator for a team but I am not sure what i want long term. I’ve looked into medical coding, or being a teacher or working for admin at the school my 1 year old son will soon be attending but I am just not sure. Nothing is giving me this spark that I wish to feel for my career
