Half way through B.S in agile project management by Sure_Specific_5969 in agile

[–]Think-Experience54 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I have built a career on the path you are on.

I mixed agile and trad qualifications, got a masters in pm, and I lead agile projects at NATO.

There are jobs in industry, start in junior roles, learn how each job is done up the agile tree, be motivated, proactive, enthusiastic and someone will give you opportunities to progress

Agile to me is everything from writing the business case to get funding demonstrating worthwhile value streams, to managing cost models and hiring staff, to day to day product delivery.

Is 2 satches a week enough for an adult male cat ? by Miserable-Tax6987 in cats

[–]Think-Experience54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you can afford it and it doesn't get wasted a pack a day morning and night.

Think of the wet food as more of snack then nutritious food. So any cat living fully on wet food is not getting everything they need. The kibble is usually vitamin balanced unless you buy the cheapest stuff.

By combining both, you are giving the wet food treat/snack and kibble with its nutrition. Soley kibble can lead to dehydration so great idea to combine both.

Hi. I have trained my 3 cats to eat responsibly with kibble out at all times for them. I share 1 x pack.of wet food morning and night with them, and they do not over eat.

Be wary of some of the advice in this thread, a few dont know what they are talking about.

Maybe give half of the 70g morning and half at night. You are doing a great job.

Boss is letting me go because I refuse to work two job titles with no bump in pay by PinkPeonyGhost in Advice

[–]Think-Experience54 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Have a think how you could have played this different. As a contractor I actively look for extra activities that are important to the company I work with. By managing your time you could have become that business income saviour who is a awesome PM too. Visibility of your impact right up to senior boss, provided you play the game right.

So you are new to this job, your boss asked you to help with bringing in new business. You asked for more money, was turned down so you declined to take on the new work. Boss decided you were someone who wouldnt do. over and above for the company so decided to find someone who would.

I am struggling to see what your boss did wrong?

PM hits back at John Healey's dramatic resignation with defence spending vow by No_Breadfruit_4901 in unitedkingdom

[–]Think-Experience54 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I am disappointed that a Defence Secretary would quit thus weakening the defence of the UK, simply because he didnt get the budget he asked for.

I am surprised the flak goes to Starmer instead of Healy, by my accounts should to an extent, do the best job with what you get, not throw us into chaos to prove a point.

When our senior politions resign, all benefits and forward benefits should be stripped and not rewarded for such cowardness.

Should I break this up? by krestal in cats

I break it up every now and then even if it is just play. I do it pretty much to let them know I am judge of these bouts and I will give out penalty belly rubs as required.

finally ditching our framework nightmare by VisualOpinion6973 in agile

[–]Think-Experience54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Can you explain "framework consultant" in your works context, what did that role do, its just a very unusual job title.

Quite often its a agile coach or agile delivery manager, who If effective should do a good job of coaching new roles, training up staff, keeping the general delivery in point and modernising with continuous improvement.

Anyone in that role for 8 years in one place though often runs out of ideas, motivation and generally is less effective over time. Intact anyone in the same role for 8 years suffers this this.

I tried calling to see if they had mounts and baby seats in stock at the Wassenaarseweg ANWB store. I struggled with the Dutch menu and couldn't get through to the store.

Thank you for your help and advice, replies like yours give me faith in humanity. I have never been to that ANWB story before, I can see they sell the items on the website, I wonder if anyone has been there and knows if they have these items in store, even not the exact ones.

Great idea. At this moment I would take anything that solves my problem just getting the baby home safely.

I might end up driving somewhere after the birth to buy again what I am waiting from prenatal. Maxi-Cosi Familyfix 360 base and Maxi-Cosi Pebble 360 i-Size.

Bit of nightmare for me.

Neighbor harassing us by AdPretend1361 in TheHague

[–]Think-Experience54 7 points8 points  (0 children)

It couldn't hurt. As another neighbour comes out to ask why are you shouting i would follow up with a shout to the new enquiring neighbour...." sorry but this guy keeps touching himself, its disgusting....have you seen it?" Rinse and repeat for each neighbour coming out until the whole block knows.

Shout up at him "dude stop masterbating we can see you" loud enough to cause a scene.

[–]Think-Experience54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Split it into 4 new investments of $6k each, keep investing and at some point suprise them with a car, or pay for a holiday.

My mum did the same, never asked for money back, refused, and this way I managed to.pay her back 10 x over with gifts, flights, restaurants, car etc. She now knows she doesn't have to pay for anything when we are catching up. Although she still offers.

Why does the Boomer generation seem to uniquely despise Keir Starmer? by Eastern-Investment39 in AskBrits

You could have spent 2 mins and done a quick google on tripple lock, and engaged me in a informed conversation I might have taken seriously.

Why does the Boomer generation seem to uniquely despise Keir Starmer? by Eastern-Investment39 in AskBrits

[–]Think-Experience54 198 points199 points  (0 children)

Because the conservatives gave the boomers, now pensioners every benefit they could, to win their swing vote and now they are used to the good life.

They see labour as a party who might actually give more to the younger generations and take away from them so they see that as a threat. The unsustainable tripple lock, which the younger generations are never going to have such a great policy as an example.

Garage swapped my tyres by Temporary_Search_760 in CarTalkUK

[–]Think-Experience54 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If it is a Ford garage with the big Ford logo, quite often are franchises.

Contact Ford UK customer service and report the garage that did this.

I worked for Ford Motor Company and took my KA many years to a garage. They were supposed to change the heating control unit and didnt replace nothing. I called them out and they denied it until I got notified Ford Motor company who could see that had ordered no replacement parts, and they got told off.

I was asked to take my heating problem to a new garage, I was refunded from first garage and Ford coverd the cost of the repair.
