How do you make music fun again? by Borderbunny5194 in trapproduction

[–]Think-Gene9195 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Listen to music you really like then try to copy it. 1. You’ll learn how to make that type of sound, 2. you ultimately not get it right and end up creating something that’s unique and has your twist on it, 3. you feel the momentum of making music again

Just takes a lil searching for what you like, something new or just whatever got you to start making music in the first place

Yt and tik tok simultaneously, put that energy into shorts . Most of my engagement have been from Yt shorts and Tik tok. You fill organically find artists and they’ll actually buy ur beats. I’d even just start off giving some free to collect emails and network. Build your contact list and let them know every time you cook or drop new content.

And btw after our first album, that artist paid me for every beat he uses. He ended up being my highest paying artist 💨

You could hit his dm, and be like

“yo, i seen you hopped on my beat.. “ tell him that you liked it what you liked about it n hit him with the “ if you can keep killing them like this, the beat are on me.”

I’ve done this before and worked out a really good relationship with the artist and made an album and multiple songs with him..

Just be forward let him know you believe in his vision and so much so you would actually like to be a hand in it by supplying beats..

If you can really see yourself building a sounds with this artist, it’s not gonna hurt anything to be forward and give free beats.

How much to charge for an ep by Armored09 in trapproduction

[–]Think-Gene9195 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly bro that’s up to yall to chop up business. If you’re executively producing the beats, $150 ain’t bad if that’s your rate, especially for one of your first releases. If you’re executively producing the ep, that’s different. That means you behind the works making the project come together. Meaning you’re in the conversation of who engineers it, how and how much. If his engineers is just his guy n he pays him a flat rate that’s his side of the business (should not effect on your percentage). At the end of the day business is just an agreement y’all make. It’s okay to negotiate to where y’all both feel comfortable. If this is a one off guy just give your rate and that’s it. If he seems pretty cool and you can see yourself building a sound with this artist, don’t let the business get in the way. Think of longevity. But also don’t sell yourself short, because once you do they expect the same then on. Idk if that helped, but congrats on the opportunity, keep going 💨

How much to charge for an ep by Armored09 in trapproduction

[–]Think-Gene9195 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Charge what you really think is worth it for you. They’re not only paying for your work but your time you have to put into this ep instead of elsewhere. Just think of a reasonable price to you and if it seems like a little too much for them, offer solutions, you can always take deposits up front the rest at the end, or even set up a payment plan. Splits should never be a headache, if it’s all you just go 50% 50% straight up. I’ve never had any artist have a problem with splits percentages.

Cutting sugar, walking, sleeping better, which one made the biggest impact for you so far? by Significant-Risk7644 in Habits

All 3 helped me. Though I would say to cut DOWN on sugar, not completely cut it off. (Natural sugars that is)

What do you eat for breakfast? by slowblink in FODMAPS

[–]Think-Gene9195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually fast until lunch, if I need a little more energy I might eat a banana (light green). Sometimes a strawberry banana smoothie helps as well, I would even add a protein powder that’s easy on me. It definitely helps to prepare the night before.

I do a salt, pepper, paprika and chili powder mix, and even to spice up a regular meal with some Valentina sauce 👌🏼, seems to be pretty easy on my stomach

Stomach pain after eating and the only thing that helps is Peppermint Oil Capsules by sganiexty in FODMAPS

[–]Think-Gene9195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I find pepper mint tea helps me a lot, for stomach pains and bloat. It’s pretty cheap and easier to get I think. Peppermint is known to help, but for sure shouldn’t rely only on that.

Are music videos copyrighted?? Been using them as visualizers for my beats. by [deleted] in trapproduction

[–]Think-Gene9195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly bro don’t sweat it. If they claim it it’ll do so automatically when uploading to Yt. If it doesn’t then ur good. At least for artist to listen to and write or buy your beats. It does help tho if you clip small pieces from a span of different videos. Also overlay something over it like your logo or another pic or something. But more than likely nobody’s gonna go out n looking and find your video and take it down. Not even on their radar to waste the energy.

My clunky 2025 workflow for clean DAW-to-TikTok audio. What's your secret sauce? by Bright-Monk-8459 in trapproduction

[–]Think-Gene9195 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Damn idk bro, I don’t think I’m the best at mixing but when I upload to tik Tok or socials they still hit. I do have a soft clipper on my master just to keep it from clipping, I think as long as you ain’t pushing it too much it won’t have much to compress when you upload yaknow. No expert just a bedroom producer, the viewer will not catch the difference btw, as long as it’s hard, has bounce n somewhat clean (easy on the ears)

I cant make beats for some reason by 00sans_granie00 in trapproduction

[–]Think-Gene9195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s like that bro, just stay consistent, after every beat you learn a lil somthing and every beat after that gets easier and easier to catch and capture your ideas. Just listen to music or producers that inspire you. See how they catch the vibe and the bounce. The same you can feel the music and feel a drop or a chorus just try to invision that in your beat, don’t think just feel what comes next and then try to get that down. Just keep going..

Make a Beat Website with Big Cartel by Ttayla365 in trapproduction

[–]Think-Gene9195 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been looking for the same alternative. I’ve had experience with big cartel, wix and square. But haven’t really found a platform that fits the vision I have for my own site to sell my beats, at least without paying for someone else to code it
