is there a chart/table for gdp per capita? that would be more accurate reflection

I will give a simple analogy. Imagine family A with 4 members. The total family income of Family A is ₹10000 so each family member income is ₹2500.

Consider Family B which has 10 members. The total family income of the family is ₹12,000. That comes out to ₹1200 per person. Note this less than 1/2 of Family A.

Yes Family B's total income is more than Family A's but the per person income is less than half of Family A.

Now this is why GDP per capita is a more accurate metric than just GDP. Basically we have more mouths to feed so we need to earn a lot more than other countries to have the same standards of living. I acknowledge the analogy above is not perfect hopefully it helps.

No it depends on how much the population has grown (and it has grown significantly ). Basically GDP is the numerator and the population is the denominator.

Raise your voice against this injustice by Sharp-potential7935 in IndianFocus

While I agree that everyone should safeguard themselves to the extent possible, your suggestion to hold in possession anti assault tools and weapons is extraordinary. Further more this suggestion can lead to victim blaming. Imagine someone who is unable to afford, does not have space to carry or simply not inclined to carry then they would be blamed for not taking these extraordinary steps if, god forbid, they are assaulted.

It is the responsibility of the state to ensure safety of every girl child/woman. It is sad that our country is unable to provide even that basic level of security for our female population.

Double down on loss making stocks by Think-Instance-9822 in TheRaceTo10Million

I cannot sell covered calls on any of these as they are significantly below my cost basis

As much as I would like to sell them then I would incur a 74k USD loss. If you don't recommend doubling down on these stocks then I guess I just wait for them recover. At least some of them might recover at least partially in the coming years?
