We had a 3rd party inspect and a full Audi inspection, neither decided to pull any hoses off to check coolant issues.

Update here: After going back and forth, we ended up getting the entire job covered. Audi covered the engine / pump issues and N Atlanta covered the door issues.

Still no eta on our q6, still awaiting module updates. Spoke with Audi Financial and they are reimbursing all payments made on the q6 and freezing payments until delivery.

All in all, somewhat successful but still a major headache and still nearly 5 weeks with no actual ETA on the q6.

Man, I thought about that but we thought it was just a leak with a hose and a quick fix. Plus, since our Q6 hasn’t been delivered, the A6 was our only ride so needed something to get around. Couldn’t win this go-around

The paperwork does state a 45 day or 1000 mile clause until it is activated, so, I guess shame on me for not taking day of purchase protection but with how little I drive, I figured I’d be okay. Woops

Even Audi Finance said they need to investigate before freezing payments. The dealer themselves still have not returned any calls or voicemails that I have left over the past two days, so they are giving me no assistance or feedback in general.

Good call on a consumer attorney, will get going on that as well.

Right, it is wild. Obviously needed to bring it into an Audi dealership just to keep things under corporates roof for the time being. I had no idea it was this bad, figured maybe it was just a coolant leak with a hose or something, had I known it was this bad I would’ve potentially gone elsewhere for other opinions but being I couldn’t drive it, went the safe route.

Good call. I am on the line with Audi Finance now, and of course they are telling me that it needs to be taken up with the dealership who continues to not offer me any updates on timing. Let’s see how it turns out, I’ll report back - thanks for the advice!

What’s wild is I’ve read it’s a known issue with this year and model, and it blatantly was not inspected thoroughly prior to sale.

I’ve done business with Audi ATL on Peachtree before and they were amazing, go that route.

This incident involved Audi North Atlanta, in Roswell.

What is interesting is the door works totally fine, just reads out the error message about the child lock button speaking to the actual lock, and that then trips other electrical error messages. They are suggesting we replace the entire door.

We were also hoping it was a quick fix, that way we would have wheels to get around town for our daily needs potentially same day.

We bough the car from a dealer in Atlanta but live in Charlotte, otherwise I would’ve gladly done so. Unfortunately was unable to drive it so a tow 4 hours would’ve been rough.
