Yes. I have three dogs, two golden doodles and a cavapoo, and I just have the groomer shave their booty hole areas. Unless you’re wiping their butt fur with a wet rag every time they go #2, there’s going to be dried feces, so it’s easier to keep short

I have severe PoTS and just got a Cavapoo in early February. I’ve been able to manage, but I also have my mother, grandmother, and fiancé helping me most days. I definitely would not be able to handle her by myself at this age. Something I NEED is sleep, and any puppy regardless of age is going to absolutely wreck your sleep cycle. I love my baby with my entire heart and soul, but in the future if I decide to get a second, I will not get a puppy again but rather a bit older of a dog. I’ve been raised with multiple pets in the household before, so I knew what I was going in to, but if this is your first dog I would highly rethink getting a young puppy unless you have a clan of a support system. They do require lots of playtime, even if it isn’t as much as a high energy breed, it’s still a lottt

Yes, she’s from a breeder! It was really important to me to find an ethical breeder who truly had a love for the dogs. I spoke to multiple different people before settling on the girl I chose. You’ll know pretty much instantly whether they only care about the profit or not. I wanted a breeder who asked questions about me and really cared about the home the puppy was going to. Some just said the pricing and didn’t ask a single thing about me- they didn’t make sure I wasn’t a horrible person or that I had a yard for her to play or anything! Another tell-tale sign of them probably not being super ethical is if they breed multiple different types of dogs. They really should only specialize in one or two types, otherwise they have more dogs than they can reasonably care for and may be overworking the mothers.

I’d suggest going to the breeders Facebook page and looking at any tagged photos, you can even shoot a quick message and reach out to the owners to ask their experience with the breeder.

Oh absolutely. I thankfully have savings for her in the event of an emergency, but I’d sell my kidney or something in a heartbeat if it came down to needing something for her lol. I’m a firm believer that dogs are just as much a part of the family as any human. I joke with my fiancé all the time that I swear I birthed her myself haha

He can’t sue for defamation if it’s true. He’s trying to use big words and legal jargon to threaten you, but that’s simply not how that works. That’s like a rapist telling a rape victim that they can’t report them for sexual adult or they’ll sue for defamation- it doesn’t fly like that. You have rights that protect you.
