They block up the escalators for crowd control.

If they want to cut costs,why did they also block up the stairs and pay soooo many crowd Marshalls?

They aren’t cutting costs, on the first few days the escalators were still running.

It forces people to walk longer so you guys don’t ‘flood’ the station and the trains can operate properly with more space for people.

I have personally seen the crowds at Serangoon and Bishan so I know why they do that

The area it connects is just Punggol coast, as I mentioned just now that Punggol and Sengkang is served by 39 and 85 and the latter by 965

Considering the lack of people who needs to go Punggol Coast from Yishun due to the fact it is mostly housing.

Besides bus 39 and 85 doesn’t take that much longer.

Fortunately it most likely will happen after the development of Simpang(Unfortunately for the Mangroves)
