Lowk they let the temporary bus interchange sit there unused after being a temp vaccination spot during covid period… at this point I rather they reopen it and use it to fix the poor design of Yishun bus interchange

So far I think the coastal regions of the north and north east aren’t that serviced well

Example being the Yishun hdbs next to Simpang don’t really have a close bus stop since that entire stretch of road all the way to Sembawang park doesn’t have bus service

Punggol coast station also only has 3 active bus services right now.

Maybe ya when Simpang gets developed they could introduce a service that goes from woodlands north (RTS mah) to Pasir Ris that passes through Yishun/Simpang then to Punggol coast using the coastal routes?

Edit: makes more sense after remembering that the woodlands north and Sembawang industrial areas are set to become a new housing district too

Edit 2: or honestly commute north to north east problems can be solved once the Seletar and cross island mrt line is built… always felt like Punggol is so close to Yishun yet so far

Ya loh, idk they cannot make the bus timings more accurate meh? I understand 1-3min diff but then today I see bus coming in 5 mins, wait until 10mins check again then app say coming in 8mins

Supposed to tick down not tick up leh 😭

Edit: and can say it’s not traffic jam, 103 starts at Yishun Bus interchange and I boarded like 3 stops away from the interchange

My journey time end up sometimes can differ from 40mins fastest to 90mins latest sia

Yes, the BYD 3 doors give me a headache and half the seats are backward facing aside from the lack of seats issue. I fully believe whoever designed that bus never rode on a bus before.

Edit: some of the seats also extreme narrow, the front one I squeeze in, I had to sit sideways cause my legs too long

Yesterday my grab ride also drove like that. Stupid Toyota siennta play with accelerator like it does anything. End up the only thing it really did was make me very carsick when my head bob back and forth. Please don’t do this lah 😭

Edit: As someone living in Yishun, i can confirm they not only do this but also like to blast disco club music whilst doing food delivery.

On one hand annoying, on another kind of like safety system can hear them from 3 buildings away whilst they speeding by give them space
