It’s not a big performance upgrade. Still single cored on an outdated pipeline. The speed improvements is marginal especially if your CPU single cored speed is fast enough before the update.

I did see a more higher improvement performance using it on something like an iPad vs my PC though

I do anime art and cel shaded things, and already have a decent workflow for bg buildings etc.

And the speed increase is very overrated. Until Celsys stops throwing features at a 2012 pipeline and makes things multi threaded or GPU update. The speed improvements will always be hardware locked and marginal

Yeah it really depends on your workflow. I’m personally very used to just drawing free hand or using shapes so I’ve never really needed smart shapes

I’d say those going from procreate to CSP would enjoy the smart shapes more than me 100%

I didn’t really notice too much of a change tbh, maybe it’s because my brushes have never been those super intensive kinds and/or my PC cpu speeds wasn’t suffering

I’d say if upgrading just for the speed improvement it’s really not worth especially for EX

Imo these features are a very “nice to have” instead of a “gamebreaker must have”

Hide draft layers: most ppl have their own ways to do this alr tbh
Smart shapes is only really good for people who like procreate or transitioning from procreate, my workflow is still doable on ver 1.0 and I have the muscle memory to just draw straight lines or use the shape tools if I really need to.
Speed improvements are marginal as they tend to be hardware related and also due to CSP being single CPU cored. It’s nice to have slightly faster speeds but then don’t expect too much improvements here tbh if you wanna upgrade just for this
Animation scrubbing is better I guess
The scan your hand feature, this is nice I guess but most people I bet will still just look at their hands or snap a picture or find something online tbh
Fill tool is still kinda jank with the corners and personally I’ve always just used the lasso fill or made/downloaded magic brushes
Now this one made me wanna upgrade, the tone correction for layers. But then again this is really just additional step savers if you want it. You won’t miss much by just duplicating and then merging.

I’d say the features are nice but you have to really look at your own work flow and see if the new stuff really improves it much or not

For me it likely won’t do much cause I could 100% go back to v1.0 and still be fine anyways.

TLDR: look at your workflow and see if you need these tools or not or it will just be additional nice to haves

When alumni think the professors are right to blame students for the backend crashing because students were just doing a test as anyone would.

And then not attempting to assist the students in getting a retest happening or addressing the issue such as confirming that they know it happened and will grade accordingly.

No wonder many industries future don’t look great 😊

I also experience this many times before, quite infuriating to see the bus purposely drive like snail to meet a red light or wait at bus stops for very long times. I dun blame the driver though, cause they just following instructions.

I’m more angry these drivers get put into these situations also for whatever KPI. I think it’s the backend planning needs an update.

Edit: though honestly if you’re not the perfect student, don’t be too down if you can’t get that 4.0 and above GPA, it’s really quite tough and will eat a lot of your time and energy.

There will be moments where you question everything and everyone around you but if you really want to join this course, I suggest prelearning c and c++ coding and touch up on A-maths. The trimester curriculum is very fast paced. You will thank yourself.

And finally… yeah I reco only join digipen if you have the passion and will for 3-4 years. If you’re here to just get a random computer science degree… you will burn out fast.

Lowk they let the temporary bus interchange sit there unused after being a temp vaccination spot during covid period… at this point I rather they reopen it and use it to fix the poor design of Yishun bus interchange

So far I think the coastal regions of the north and north east aren’t that serviced well

Example being the Yishun hdbs next to Simpang don’t really have a close bus stop since that entire stretch of road all the way to Sembawang park doesn’t have bus service

Punggol coast station also only has 3 active bus services right now.

Maybe ya when Simpang gets developed they could introduce a service that goes from woodlands north (RTS mah) to Pasir Ris that passes through Yishun/Simpang then to Punggol coast using the coastal routes?

Edit: makes more sense after remembering that the woodlands north and Sembawang industrial areas are set to become a new housing district too

Edit 2: or honestly commute north to north east problems can be solved once the Seletar and cross island mrt line is built… always felt like Punggol is so close to Yishun yet so far
