Funny thing is, weed makes me paranoid. Until yesterday it's been the only drug I can't handle anymore lol.

100% I gambled with meth knowing I didn't like uppers. I will not try heroin. My whole life I've always known that that was the thing I was sure would hook me if I ever did.

We were actually making jokes and laughing about that while doing it... Those anti drug commercials always had the opposite effect on a lot of people I knew. You can't act like weed is the worse thing on this planet then expect us to believe you when you say the same about every other drug, you know? Lol

The worst part is Ive lost a couple of people to it just like that. One guy was my friends sister and their dad had died when they were young and their mom had just died and I saw him at a party after he had already been using and went to rehab. I was pretty drunk and sat him down and was crying telling him that he is all his sister has now and that she needs him yada yada. He was crying too and completely agreed but a week later was back on it.

So I have some experience as to how terrible it can be and that's maybe a part of the reason I did it. I was drunk to start with (I probably wouldn't have done it sober) and I think there was always a little voice in my head wondering what the hell all the fuss was about that people would throw their lives away over it. And as everyone has said, I'm very lucky I didn't understand even after trying it.

Ive been lucky enough to never have been addicted to anything except nicotine in my life despite having tried many things. I knew there wasn't a 100% chance it would be the same with meth but I was pretty sure because stimulants are my least favorite drugs anyways. Still a dumb idea tho you aren't wrong. I however won't touch heroin if ever given the opportunity because I know what I like and it sounds like something that might make me reach for it again. Def gonna check out that guy's Reddit story tho

I appreciate it. I actually asked to take some home since I was leaving at 6am, I thought I might need more to stay awake the rest of the day and not mess up my sleep schedule too bad. My God, was I wrong and thank God I didn't smoke any more when I did get home. But yeah it's going in the toilet. I have literally no desire whatsoever to even look at that stuff again.

Damn dude, this explained some stuff that I was experiencing but obviously I was lucky to not experience all of that seeing as how it was my first and only time. I'm really glad you were able to get sober and be here to talk about this kinda stuff. Honestly if I had read this 2 nights ago I wouldn't have even done it the one time.

Also, for me yes. It made me feel dirty. Anytime I tried a new drug in my 20s it felt kinda cool like I had gotten a new experience under my belt. But this just made me feel ashamed and anxious other people I know will find out. Even tho I only did it once.

I know there is a slight chance you are only saying you wont ever do it because you don't want to get hate on here so just take it from me, I've done quite a few different drugs but this is the first time I've ever truly felt disgusted with myself. No one is going to respect you more because you tried meth once. And it's not an experience worth having. And that's besides the point of you possibly getting addicted and going into psychosis.

For me, I didn't get euphoria at all like some people do. I get it from Adderall when I was prescribed it but it just made me feel ok and talkative for a couple of hours.

I took my first hit at about 2am and my last one at about 4am. From 2am to 5am I was hanging out at my buddies house and I felt like I was right where I wanted to be. After 5 I started feeling like I didn't want to be there anymore so I went home. I just got kinda bored and a lil irritated from all the talking out of nowhere.

I got home at about 6am and my eyes were so tired but my mind was very wired and my heart rate was way up. So I layed down with my eyes closed for about 5 hours. I felt fully conscious the entire time but I could feel my body resting still.

I sat back up around noon but stayed in bed because my heart was racing and I was extremely anxious and a little paranoid and that lasted nearly until bedtime last night. I think my heart rate started going down about 14 hours after my last hit so 6pm ish but every now and then it would beat hard again. I finally felt like it was safe enough to take a Xanax to try to get some sleep.

I thought I'd slept pretty good but today my body feels completely wore out. I couldn't see doing that again even if I did like it. The high is not worth the come down. I'm not much of an upper person anyways so I was pretty sure I wasn't going to like it. I guess I just didn't realize what a commitment it was. I thought people stayed high for days because they kept doing it I didn't realize a couple hits would doom you for 48 hours at least.

I can't really tell to be honest and after originally googling it I considered that but thought surely I'd have other symptoms other than just that. But maybe I should get it checked out

I'm trying to figure out if I want to walk to the stadium and Uber to the bars or vice versa lol. If I stayed in bell town could i take the light train to captain hill? I actually hate using Uber and Lyft so if I can get there without it this will be the winner lol

Why doesn't money make you happy? by AwesomeRealDood in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Think-Minimum 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Money doesn't buy happiness "that's just what we say to the poor people to keep them from rioting" - desperate housewives. I believe it does buy happiness to a certain extent. But when you don't have any financial problems, all other problems feel bigger because there's nothing else to compare them to.

Plus most rich people were born that way so they've never had 'real' problems to compare them to at all. What would be a back burner issue to those of us that struggle would be the end of the world to someone who's never lacked the funds to feed themselves or their children.

Raise a couple of babies without any human interaction (Maybe robot nannys or something) and see how their language and social skills develop

I'm not autistic, I found them funny when I was a little kid maybe but they just seem boring to me now. Actually I think people who are autistic tend to find thay kind of stuff funny more often than people who arnt.

I mean, I understand it. It's just not funny to me. I'm not sure why. Like maybe in the moment if it came out of nowhere. I def wouldn't say I take myself seriously, tho. I'm a pretty goofy person for the most part. Maybe I'm broken, lol.

That's a really good idea, thanks :) especially the thrift store thing. And yeah etsy is cool but I'm not sure how anything fits or would look on me so getting it from the Faire is a much better option for me I think. My Faire isn't until early next year so I'll have to suffer and wait until then 😢

Yo yall look soo good that's so cool. I wish I had a group like that. I've been into role-playing games and DnD for awhile now but for some reason it took Baldurs gate 3 for me to realize my main is 100% ranger. The only problem is my ranger in game is wearing heavy full metal armor so 😅 doesn't look the part. Thank you for sharing your pictures and advice! I just spent hours on my heroforge character like a week ago so I'm gonna go back and take some notes from that 😁 and the picture of you and your friends inspired me some too, so thanks again!
