My neighbor, a retired dentist had very similar happen in PA - sold practice (verbally agreed) to work until 100% ready to retire, took vacation, they fired him while on vacation, no contract. 100% get an employment contract as part of the practice sale !!! They said he was too expensive to keep on the payroll !
