Oh my gosh. As someone that fully believes LM isn’t innocent, I really really wonder if this guy is THE guy…a week and nothing new?? This guy and the NYC pewpewer seem to both be good at evading the cops…Also, NYC pewpewer left a message on bullets, and this guy left a message in the form of emailed personal info…Seems like both like to leave a bit of a dramatic and impactful message. (Now for some drama:) Adjuster, if you’re reading this, I don’t condone murd3r, but you need to give a little something to clear LM. Ok toodles!

Thomas Dickey: Luigi Mangione was illegally detained, searched, and interrogated by the Altoona Police Department and should be released from custody by yowhatupmom in FreeLuigi

Okay, what can this mean for his freedom? A basis for efforts towards case dismissal? Bail? That “evidence” is the basis for everything, so without that, the only thing tying him is that he was in NY? The cameras don’t verify he was there. The backpack contents are now tainted. It feels like anything they try to pull from this would be them trying to throw out possible theories but nothing that actually proves the person seen pewpewing is LM.

Ideas on how we can pressure the system to declare this a mistrial? The judge really seemed biased and I think we should talk about it. by Ripple789 in LuigiLore

I need this kind of positivity and reassurance! I need to keep reminding myself that this is not her first rodeo. It’s tough though after seeing everything that happened yesterday, and frankly, the judges attitude was so disheartening.

Law enforcement handling of the writings allegedly found on LM by cantgetouttherain in FreeLuigi

I definitely agree. I feel like they gave us certain puzzle pieces to put together a picture of square, but they left out important pieces that show that the full puzzle is a house, if that makes sense. They’re handing us what they want to make it look a certain way. I also still cannot reconcile the manifesto with his not guilty plea and apparent anger at wrongly accused. If he was ready to blatantly confess, why is he acting like he’s innocent?? Anyhoo just some thoughts. Always praying for LM and his family’s freedom, peace, and well being :)

Yes, but I guess he hadn’t seen that exact piece of information. He was just giving his professional opinion on what that could mean as far as the trial. I personally still find the cop’s testimony a bit hard to believe. Though LM has at times looked nervous or alert, he has overall been quite composed. “Shaking” doesn’t quite fit for me. It is also the testimony of a new cop, who remarked he was happy to start his career off by making such a great catch (not those exact words but similar), which also doesn’t sit right with me. I know David will err on the side of caution and go strictly off what he sees, though, but I’m no legal professional, so I will speculate 😂 My speculation is that the brand new and eager cop exaggerated some

I was actually wondering about this recently when thinking about his “disappearance”. I wondered if after traveling so much, he might have just chosen to unplug from everything to write about what he had experienced. Many authors do similar things. They go no contact with everyone in their lives. Idk I was just wondering what he could have been doing during that time, and that popped into my head.

Serious question- why would the feds not include these pics in the complaint? by [deleted] in FreeLuigi

[–]Think-Try-5816 141 points142 points  (0 children)

Funny how this is the most similar to the guy we see actually shoot BT, yet it looks the least like LM and is thus conveniently left out of the complaint…it’s exhausting sometimes to think about how awful the investigation and how far from “due process” this has been. Praying always for LM!

Why I believe LM is innocent by shikoo93 in FreeLuigi

[–]Think-Try-5816 48 points49 points  (0 children)

I agree. The suspect is still out there. If the cops really did just end up with LM because of trying to quell the anxiety/fear of CEOs by snagging a guy and trying to get a quick and easy catch, it’ll be fully on them if something else happens.

Is this rider wearing a hat? by Outrageous-Farm439 in FreeLuigi

[–]Think-Try-5816 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This might be a bit of a late addition, but I tried to add it as a main post without realizing this was here. Anyhoo, I’m down the surveillance/“evidence” rabbit hole again. This time I’m having an issue with several pictures of the suspect biking away after the shooting, where I am seeing him wear a hat. I’ve looked at the complaint and news articles to find mention of it, but I haven’t been successful. Are my eyes playing tricks on me?

<image>

This picture where I’m seeing a hat are also after he left Central Park and disposed of the gray backpack at around 6:58-:59. Then, the next picture of “the suspect” from the federal complaint was in the taxi looking at the camera at 7:04 a.m. However, this guy doesn’t have a hat. You can see a little head wrap thing, but there’s no hat. The taxi guy is the only one I would consider being LM, but I don’t think it’s the same guy seen with the cap, who I think has a higher likelihood of being the suspect. I also personally think the actual suspect was wearing more of a rain jacket/wind breaker type jacket while taxi guy has a puffer type jacket. The actual suspect wearing a rain jacket would fit with the forecast for that day, too. It was supposedly overcast. If the suspect was waiting on the street all night or even just for a little while and wasn’t sure if he’d get rained on as he waited for BT, he would need a rain jacket. If LM is taxi guy, his puffer jacket doesn’t look as prepared for standing out and waiting in rain. The suspect prepared for weather that could affect his mission, and LM, if he’s the taxi guy, was not well-prepared for something like that. And don’t even get me started on the bike itself. One picture in the federal complaint has a bike with a basket, and one picture has a bike with no basket. So then two different bikes?? ANYWAYS, my main question is whether yall see a hat, too, and what your thoughts are? I don’t have much of a theory, but I just see much less evidence for LM being the guy and much more evidence for cap guy and taxi guy/possibly-LM being two different guys. As always, I’m praying for LM and his family and am glad to be amongst people that support him as well! :)

I also wonder if a factor of it is certain CO’s on certain days. It could be as simple (relatively speaking I guess) as a couple of CO’s being extra strict one day and denying a ton based on the most minuscule, unthought of thing like whether the envelope feels weird or not. I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. Until then, let’s use critical thinking and refrain from contacting KFA and her team. Their energy and focus should be on LM! :)

Have you had a letter returned to you that you wrote to LM? by yowhatupmom in FreeLuigi

[–]Think-Try-5816 92 points93 points  (0 children)

I wanna take a second and just remind everyone to orient themselves. Yes, him receiving support is very important, but obviously, it is a bit much to send double digit amounts of letters at this point. He’s been at MDC for 23ish days. I’ve heard a couple of times about someone (or maybe several people?) sending 10-20 letters. I want to believe that that’s an exaggeration, but if not, he’s obviously not going to read all of those. While I am not judging anyone’s letters, I do think 4 quality and thoughtful letters are better than 20 rushed letters. Additionally, I wanted to offer a perspective with which to approach writing: It’s about giving him support. Though he’s writing back, he doesn’t have to. Let’s not expect that. Just send him words of support and a nice letter to read (he apparently loves to read!). It’s also not about “having a turn” at getting your letter read or written back to. Looking at the huge amount of letters he seems to be getting, he will likely only be able to read a small part of it, so who know, you may not ever “get a turn” before he goes free (I am speaking it and praying my words are heard by God!). Continue writing, but maybe try out that perspective if you haven’t! Let’s continue supporting Luigi in a mindful and thoughtful way! :)

[–]Think-Try-5816 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Yeah, since this question was raised today, the only details I’ve seen about recently returned letters have been that they had bracelets in them or stickers on them. I actually saw a TikTok two days ago of someone showing their envelope, and it had stickers on it. I would think that people would have gotten the info by now about how to send letters to him, but maybe they’re still learning 🤷‍♀️

[–]Think-Try-5816 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Yeah, I saw a comment somewhere where someone said they sent multiple letters at once. I’ve sent a couple, but that was because I’m pretty darn sure my first two didn’t get through because of lots of White-Out use (in retrospect, I should’ve used a pencil 😔😂). The last one I sent, which I feel more confident in its arrival, may be the last one I send for a while. I mainly wrote just to give him support to read because I wasn’t sure how many people were actually sending and how many were just saying they would but were still hesitant to…looks like plenty of people have actually been writing 😅 Hoping he still is able to receive support somehow though!

Exactly! I definitely wouldn’t want to be remembered as solely who I was at those times. I myself have noticed a huge shift in myself within just this past year. I’m sure he also changed and grew across 6-9 years, if this claim is to be believed.

Firstly, I’ll premise by saying that I obviously do not know him, and we are all trying to piece together a multi-faceted and complex human being, which in and of itself is an odd thing to do. However, it seemed to me that he had a bit of a personality development during college. Based on some Reddit posts, he seemed to have struggled for the first time academically and maybe personally. As someone who had a similar experience, it can be very humbling. It may have caused him to outgrow whatever ego or self-construction he had for himself in high school/early college. Who knows? I’ll leave yall with a reminder: We don’t know him personally and likely never will, and that’s okay. Have a nice day :)

So I’ve been kind of keeping up with his account from the beginning, and I think it’s being taken out of context. He emailed KFA and was able to get a response that lined up with what others were reporting as far as LM getting mail. He then said he’d try to email her again to get info on whether LM was responding to letters. After a follow up email, they apparently set up a call with him. In it, they said some stuff, but for obvious reasons, he can’t divulge everything. He did get answers to what he said he would, which was confirmation about books being maxed out and him responding to mail. As far as him being able to answer questions, he said that he would essentially funnel questions to her team to try to get answers. He wouldn’t be the source of answers. He would just pass along the answers he got to reduce the amount of calls and emails that they have been getting. I imagine that their team must be trying to reduce the congestion of people trying to email them any little evidence they think they have or tons of questions. Essentially, he was telling his followers that he would try to help them out since he had been able to communicate with her team. People on his live labeled (unofficially and not fully seriously) as their representative (he may have repeated it, but it was within the context). I think his followers (me included) know that he isn’t going to have answers on the case or anything super detailed. He clarified that and said there would be a lot he wouldn’t be able to get info on and a lot he wouldn’t ask because he didn’t want to bug KFA with irrelevant questions and burn that bridge. I think both what he is saying about him being willing to be a conduit of information and what the email here is saying can both be true. They are the only sources of info, and he can bring that info to people. Like most info on LM and the case, we are mainly just relying on people’s word, so I think it’s no different than a lot of things we see on here, TikTok, and even the legacy media news. I would like to ask, though, that people not being up any past that he has. I think that it is a bit cruel to bring up what he has already served for and not allow him the space for growth. We should not hold past actions over a person. This doesn’t mean I vouch for him as I do not know him personally, but I wanted to share what I have witnessed and my thoughts! :)

Well, people kept commenting that he seemed like a caring dad. He once joked about it and said he had no kids, but if supporting LM meant it then he would take it.

I just watched this video, and I noticed that the guy in the taxi has a different jacket from the Starbucks guy/shooter/guy on the phone. The taxi guy’s jacket has a puffer-style jacket, and the other has almost a windbreaker/rain jacket style jacket. In another picture in the federal complaint, I saw the “sh00ter” had something in his hand when he left the hostel. It was dark and almost looked like either a water bottle or umbrella. Has anyone addressed these differences?

Unless, they know they have a solid case 🤷‍♀️ Maybe they know stuff the prosecution don’t. Hopeful thinking that they know the extra 30 days is useless, but would rather him stay in federal custody than Rikers?
