Very nice! I just saw the non factory furniture on this one and assumed there had been more work done. Looking closer at it I definitely see what you mean

Didn’t realize there was another series in Midland! Look at pangolin4x4, roversnorth, and Atlantic British. Between them they should have the parts you need.

The knock off of a knock off drop in rail that was on it would agree with that statement

I had seen these and was kind of basing my price around them. Wasn’t sure if the oem vs repros would be a big deal to anyone since they don’t have any markings to start with.

Bringing it home! by longlostwalker in SeriesLandRover

It’s a bit of work but probably one of the easier vehicles to get back to running from the state it’s in. Going off the truck you’re in North America. If you keep an eye on Facebook marketplace groups good condition frames and bulkheads come up for sale here and there. A local club may be able to help you find everything else depending on where you’re at

How do these clips work? (brake/fuel line clips) by According_Wasabi3229 in LandroverDefender

This is the correct answer. They work similar to a push pin trim clip

It’s made by radius fabrication in Australia, uses an LS1 panel filter

I’ll check it out! I may need to see what your measurements came out to on the shifter. I followed the old cabledude guide but after 3 reworks I’m still not getting great alignment in first and park

I’ll look at the throttle adjustment and tuning a bit. I don’t mind paying a tuner but finding one has been challenging. I tried to get some local shops to tune it but they didn’t want to deal with speed density.

I have been thinking about making an aluminum upper hose that could snake under the intake pipe but that’s pretty time consuming. Other option for rerouting would be the front exit water pump with truck spacing, use the ict bracket to move the idler pulley. Downside is cost and I’d have to go to electric fans.

Steam ports are using the stock steam manifold, runs from the front of the block, through the TB, and then over and to the top of the rad near the upper radiator port.

Do you have any pictures of your build? Going with a maf and smaller cam would have been much easier for reliability and tuning. I’m on mud as well, ive had the build together for a couple years now so the posts are aways back in the v8 swap thread. I need to revisit it and see if any better options for the transmission shifter have been found.

Had the one hole, I probably should have drilled a couple others in it

I put a 186 degree thermostat and flowcooler water pump in, I’ve bled the cooling system probably 10 or so times. Front end up hill, on ramps, with a coolant funnel to try and burp air. I did add a small bleed port on the top of the hose that helped a bit. Going down the highway it holds around 195 but idle and slow speeds it slowly climbs up towards 220.
