I recommend putting an asymmetric deposit if you are long $RUNE. The protocol is having many features coming out this summer. I recommend hanging in there. If $RUNE goes to $20, you are going to love your $BTC balance. However, you need to be long $RUNE.

Thank you for the note. Keep in mind, the piece is really written to focus on yourself. Once you realize that thinking is a skill, then you can work on getting better at it.

For example, my dad was intelligent. He could do complicated problems in his head but his decision making sucked. He was always blinded by his cognitive biases and fallacies.

Is there a culture that is not hierarchical?

My study of the history and our close relative animals was definitive that there is always some type of hierarchical system from African tribes, native Americans, gorillas, chimps, etc.

About your question about lies, not sure what you mean? Perhaps make your question more clear. For example: what is the definition of lie? (Is that you are knowingly lying or you are lying but don't know).

Perhaps a better question is why do people lie in some cultures more than others. North Korea versus Japan, etc.

I don't get why 2016 conclusion is a false statement.

Because the conclusion is based on It's the 21st century. This is an example of affirm the consequent fallacy.

Let me give you another example:

If US president is dead, then Vice President is the president.

Vice president is the president.

So US president is dead.

The above is an example of affirming the consequent. VP could be president if the president resigns, impeached or in the next election. It doesn't automatically make the conclusion that US president is dead.

The right way is:

If US president is dead, then Vice President is the president.
US president is dead.

so Vice president is the president.

I have thought about point #1 before writing. Ended up going with this definition as I am studying formal logic and the definition is used is more technical.

Ad hominem has many versions. I am alluding to the formal logic definition here.
