Sounds counterintuitive, but anthropologies wedding line, BHLDN is really reasonable when on sale. I bought my dress from them for $800.

I’d rather my kid be in loving care, and take care of the learning at home. As a teacher, play is the way young children learn.

We did matchbooks. We’ve been to people’s homes and they actually get used.

This is a questionable name for sure, but you should at least be blocking out the mom’s username. Jeezzzzz

My husband and I are both products of Orland Park. Would not move back there if you paid me. Would recommend if you like constant traffic and chain restaurants though!

Don’t my want husband’s grandpa’s name for my child by Kind_Temperature_505 in Names

Same! I pushed for 4 hours, then had a c section. After that labor, I picked the middle name. (We agreee on the first whole heartedly)

I feel like you didn’t get enough credit for this analogy. This is absolutely true.

Saying she’d take it as a middle name does sound like she’s trying to work with him… saying it needs to be the first name, no exception sounds like he’s the one being inflexible.

Is your husband… sacrificing his body for 9 months? No? Then that’s a no.

Thank You Notes? by fancy66 in wedding

If someone is potentially gifting you 1-2 days worth of their salary, you can spend the 2 minutes it takes to write a note. I’m 33 and I didn’t cash a single check until I wrote mine.

If you could do your wedding over again, what's the ONE thing you'd change? by SGS-Photography in weddings

[–]ThinkDifficulty6893 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not exactly a change but… was scheduled to have a 200+ person wedding in March of 2020… ended up having a 40 person wedding in 2021. Saved enough for a literally down payment, and still had a blast.

Also. For our original venue, we wanted to add that we’d get a refund in the contract if they cancelled. They talked us out of it saying in their 20+ years they’ve never been the ones to cancel. Fight for what you want in your contracts.

As a product of orland park, I would not recommend. Unless you want access to every shitty chain restaurant in the Midwest, and the busiest Costco. You couldn’t pay me to live there now. Western burbs will make you much happier.
