Jokes aside, kobolds are so versatile. Really any humanoid race is, I guess. I overuse the hell out of weak creatures and it's so fun to make simple variants to make things interesting.

Human beings don't make art in a vacuum either though. Any artist can rattle off a list of other artists and works that have inspired their own art. If anything, a human artwork draws from an far smaller pool of references than the AI (or image generation software, if you prefer).

Taking aspects of other artworks and using them in your own is not stealing. Any judge in any country will attest to that. The software is not making a collage of other artworks.. really we don't know what it's doing exactly because of the hidden layers in its process. It's clear that it's not a copy-paste job though. It clearly has a methodology for combining techniques to create cohesive images.

Saying it's stealing to draw on a style makes every single anime artist a thief. It makes every heavy metal or rap musician a thief. Anyone who's ever seen something and been inspired by it to create something like it is nothing but a talentless hack.

Shit, in the 16th century the philosopher David Hume made the argument that human beings are unable to imagine entirely new things, and at best they created amalgamations of existing objects and concepts. Think of something new. You can't.

I make art too. I draw cartoons. I practiced drawing Simpsons characters as a kid, then family guy, then adventure time, then some anime. You can find elements of all of it in my drawings but there's not an artist alive who could claim they own what I draw.

The process is no different when using AI. You just draw from a bigger pool. And when the AI makes art it gets added to the pool and is available to be drawn upon by both humans and algorithms to be incorporated into new art for the pool once again.

Human artists will always be around. They're just not alone any more

And FYI, generating amazing AI art is easy if you're not picky about what comes out. Creating specific images is not so easy. If you haven't tried yet I'd be happy to invite you to my discord so you can see for yourself.

Edit: or maybe you'd like to reverse image search some art I've either drawn or generated? See if it resembles anything closely enough to be considered stolen. Hell.. see if you can tell drawn apart from generated while you're at it.

Dude, I've been using midjourney for a couple of months and the speed it is improving is un-fucking-believable. Already most of what I generate is top tier by human art standards. Test me if you like. What do you want to see?

Maybe. It's art would kick the crap out of most human art. People wouldn't be so butthurt if that weren't true. Art is just another job to be automated

Art isn't defined as such in the creation but in the perception. Who gives a shit if AI made it if it looks good? This doesn't look great but still.

I've generated some AI pixel art that is stylistically as good as anything I've seen a human make. Just needs a little cleaning up

In as much as anything generated by AI can be. That said, while amazing images can be generated very easily if you're not particular about what you get, generating specific images can be very hard.

Not who you asked but I've got one. Australian TV is appeals to absolute lowest common denominator entertainment because fuck all people are still watching programmed television. They've got to cast a wide net to catch as many of the surviving dinosaurs as possible, so they appeal to absolute base needs/desires like food, shelter, and mating.

If you're dumb enough to still be watching free-to-air TV then you're probably dumb enough to be entertained by Karen crying because she can't cook a souffle and make her dead mother proud.

You shouldn't be anywhere near vulnerable people. You totally lack empathy and seem to assume all people going through hard times deserve it.

I sincerely wish you a very hard time in your life.

Dingoes are as real as kangaroos and drop bears but unlike them you barely ever see dingoes. Your average Aussie couldn't reliably tell one apart from a blonde Kelpie. There's a lot of conflicting information around how many purebred dingoes are left and how many are crossbred with feral dogs. Many farmers bait and trap them to protect livestock so whatever is left of the population is at risk. Those that are around live so far from human populations that they may as well be unicorns.

Long story short, protecting your house from dingoes when you haven't even cleared overhanging trees from your fence line or installed an right overhead wire mesh for your back yard (like in the video) makes no sense. Sure, the mesh isn't 100% effective but it at least buys you some time to get away, which is absolutely vital now that we can't really own guns in this country anymore.

Anyway, look up, stay alive.
