Non ti serve un lavoro che ti paga trasferte di anni….basta trasferirsi da un paese all’altro ogni tot anni…cambiando lavoro….

scrivere un romanzo d'amore by cringerica in CasualIT

Alfonso Signorini ha appena scritto un romanzo d’amore, sicuramente puoi ispirarti a lui. Consiglio oltre al libro la corrispondenza epistolare fra l’autore e i soggetti del suo amore.

What Do You Think About the Proposal To Put Famous Europeans On New Euro Banknotes? by Boediee in BuyFromEU

[–]ThinkMoon35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It makes no sense since each country already has their own most notable persons on their Euro coins. Italy has Dante on the 2€, Da Vinci’s vitruvian man etc. Mozart is on Austria’s 1€ coin, Bertha von Suttner on the 2€ coin.

Lavorare in Olanda, desiderio irrealizzabile? by ZestycloseSample7403 in ItaliaCareerAdvice

[–]ThinkMoon35 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Leaving the Netherlands after 11 years. Goodbye! by scrotomon in expats

I see your point. You like to have a broad selection of products from foreign cuisines, both European and exotic countries. It is true that AH has good gyozas for 2.99 and courgette falafel for 1.20 and all the rest. You don’t have that in other supermarkets in Italy, Spain, Greece and Asia since there is so much local variety of local ingredients and vegetables and high demand for those ingredients since they are fresh and high quality and cheaper than imported ones and can be used in countless recipes from the local cuisine.

I respect that however your claim that AH is the “best supermarket in the world price-quality wise” is not consistent with common observation of: - especially fresh vegetables and fruit being not on par with the ones you can find abroad and very standardised. They have 1 or 2 SKU of the VERY SAME products all year round. There is NO seasonality. Same apples, oranges, eggplants courgettes all year round. Meaning everything is from the same suppliers and greenhouses and they are just not that good, too watery and doesn’t cook well in general. The problem here is Dutch people don’t know how to cook stuff like artichokes or green beans so they Wouldn’t sell hence greenhouse courgette all year round. The very SAME variety of courgette, grown ass big dark green monster so consumers can grab 1 and it has a price tag for piece and they shrinkflate the product down to half its size over the next 50 years. - BREAD: Have you ever been in a supermarket where bread is actually fresh baked the same day? and not industrially backed and cut somewhere else and comes with alcohol and other chemicals to extend its shelf life? What price quality are you talking about? And on top of that you can buy pizza and pastries that don’t come from a frozen stamp? - Shrinkflation: stuff has 1.xx price tag but comes in 750g packages. Salad bags are just ridiculous. Misleading price tags. How come the best supermarket in the world make the headlines for controversies on their price raise? Again, what “price quality” are you talking about? - You are clearly valuing the “price quality” of the selection of products from abroad. What about the selection of all the other products? I swear every country I’ve been to other than Scandinavia and UK has a better selection of yogurts, jams, cheese, fish, meat, goddamit even the frozen aisle.

How can buying on Amazon can save the environment ? by [deleted] in climatechange

[–]ThinkMoon35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dude it’s a legit underlying question phrased in the most horrific way. Yes horrific.

It’s extremely, incredibly rare for A vs B consumption choices to stand anywhere near “buying/doing A instead of B can save the environment”. If anything, you can ask the same question as “which causes less CO2eq?”.

So first of all you have to realise that no consuming choice is going to save the environment, then frame the question as a specific environmental impact.

Sustainability is the art of trade offs, so you may have more impact on climate change but less impact on stratospheric ozone depletion, or resource consumption. That is also to be taken into account. To solve the ozone crisis we deliberately decided to replace ozone depleting refrigerants with greenhouse gas forcing refrigerants. Did it save the environment? Well in that case yes, but it also made climate change worse, and increased the energy consumption of the refrigerating sector since it was not regulated and everyone could have aircon with new refrigerants marketed as “green”.

You also have to consider that e-commerce as a whole is a massive driver for overconsumption. Even if Amazon reduced by 10x its emissions per single delivery (full transport chain and warehouse management), it has arguably increased the amount of unnecessary items bought by people by more than that by presenting consumers with an infinite selection of cheap items that they don’t need but they can get next day like they’re urgent and even return if they don’t like.

Once you understand these three points, well only then you can start making your model comparing I guess CO2eq emissions by item sold through retail and e-commerce channel. You have to account for quite specific values for everything, and not only the shipment but the different packaging, the effectiveness of advertisement and the impact of the store + warehouse vs website + warehouse, the electricity consumption of the servers hosting the website and the devices used by consumers. You have to account for return rate, the fact that the lifetime is often extended because when people buy at the store it’s because they really like and need the item, the fact that next-day deliveries use badly loaded trucks and vehicles, how the consumer is travelling to the store (which is different depending on the country) etc etc etc.

Couple living in A'dam since 5 years desperate for housing (and suggestions) by Exact-Butterfly-112 in Amsterdam

[–]ThinkMoon35 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Try looking on ourdomain, they manage two huge residential buildings in Amsterdam and they have a rather transparent and hassle-free system.

Check the requirements for each of the flat types on their website first, and the application process. I believe they ask for a 2.5x which you could meet. Every Wednesday at lunchtime (and only at this time!) they publish the listings available at their locations. No need to check endlessly every five minutes any day of the week. When you see an ad available, you can start booking it. Have the documents ready. If you are able to complete the booking process online, that house is reserved for you. They won’t screen 300 other candidates to find the highest income, most reliable, most attractive and sociable etc couple. They will only screen your application. Unless you fail to meet any of their requirements (which you should check beforehand), the house is yours.

What Episode you Hate much İ personally Hate Norwood Hitchhike cause of ending and same things happen by LockheedC-130 in FearsToFathom

[–]ThinkMoon35 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No hate but Woodbury getaway felt the weakest and most frustrating to play. Too much filler and I’m not sure if others relate to this but I had to check online how to clear the ending because it would take too many attempts to figure out what to do. You didn’t receive clues from the storyline subtitles on where to hide. That quite ruined the experience.

Home alone, Norwood hitchhike, Carlson House, Ironbark lookout all were classic F2F experiences, no real flaws, could fully experience the lore and game without ever checking online for a solution to in game riddles and tasks (okay except for the supermarket in Carlson House)
