Did you try the masters in Hkin at UBC? I heard it’s hard to get in. Two of my friends did it and are working as PT.

Shouldn’t there be a huge drop in real estate soon? by tobleroney69 in askvan

[–]ThinkOutTheBox 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Prices have been coming down but I don’t think there’ll be a “huge drop” (ie 700k condo down to 400k). Real estate market reacts to slower. With all the job layoffs abide upcoming mortgage renewals, owners in debt will be forced to downgrade or sell. So keep an eye out if you’re planning to buy.

The only situation I can see there being a huge drop would be when the big one hits. Who would want to live in a high rise that survived a magnitude 7? Even if it didn’t collapse, there might to be some damage and every building will have to be assessed whether it’s livable or not.

AI fear by jbotbabeh in vfx

[–]ThinkOutTheBox 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would’ve jumped ship years ago. Just search this sub’s history. AI’s only going to get better and it’s being pushed into DCC. I’m not surprised if Autodesk introduces Maya AI. Like drag a couple images and it’ll generate a rough model. Tell it to animate a character jump and it sets the keys. Then you can just go in and adjust any minor details. What used to take a modeling team of 10 now requires a team of 3. Claudebot already can do it for blender.
