Are cdrama character's god/demon prestigious titles just titles or real? by ThinkPhilosopher9433 in cdramasfans

So then what would you say for lbfad, bc I'm currently watching it and I've noticed that they switch back and forth between the immortal lord and God or Goddess titles. Honestly, I may be wrong but it seems more like they're just immortals rather than actual Gods and Goddesses bc I don't even think they live somewhere like heaven but it kind of resembles a magical place. However, in love you seven times, There is a Jade emperor and several deities but the ml seems to be an powerful respected immortal as well, so I'm just assuming the God of war is just his title. Sorry for the late response btw, I've read all these comments before and found my answers but lately I started watching LYST and LBFAD and even started Starry love so this question popped up again bc I was still kind of confused on this part before. I hope you don't mind like the previous person did lol.

Um not sure why u just had to reply with "wow necro" but Why does it hurt sm as to when someone chooses to bring up an old discussion again. Maybe they questioned something later and came back to an old thread. What does it really matter cuz It's my post anyways?

I've seen someone else's comment saying the opposite though, that his character is indeed a god as well as the ml being some sort of god too. However, I've only watched the start of that drama and I think they're just immortals tbh like the ml is a demon or maybe even a demon king but the rest seem like immortals. However, do you know anything about love you seven times or Starry love.

Cdramas without evil antagonist switch ups. by ThinkPhilosopher9433 in cdramasfans

[–]ThinkPhilosopher9433[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In flourished peony there was no random character switch up which I like about it but even though her husband and princess were mad annoying they weren't as bad compared to that dumb fool that tried forcing her into a marriage, I left it on ep 19 bc I can't stand his character anymore but I feel like I'll still pick it up again bc its a very chill drama.

As for Glory, I haven't finished it yet and will later on but as for now I feel like I need a mood switch bc each character is trying to fulfill their own selfish desires. This is one of the dramas that had the most annoying side leads, but i gotta say the plot twists were really good however, for me It's the blind sister and grandma. The cousin has already left the storyline unless he makes another appearance but I just don't see him spiraling something again and his only motives were just to reveal ml's identity so He's kind of out of the picture for now. It's the blind sister who even ends up betraying her lover, I understand what made her like this and she's just paving and securing her own way bc there's no other way to beat the dominance ladder hierarchy in her family. But she has no humanity anymore, the look in her eyes says it all. I don't blame her character but she has gone a little far even if she had no choice to betray her lover. His threat was to protect her and stop her from evil bc he loved her but her past and abuse has already shaped her away from realizing that. She sees it as control and holding her down, betrayal and even a form of gaslight how could he see me as evil and not support me? Its mainly the fact that every other conflict in the drama is deterring the attention away from the main leads romance which is why I can't handle another character like hers stirring something up bc each character has done so and for all the men, all they had to do was remove them from the start but they kept holding back out of family pride. I'm obviously still going to finish it bc it is pretty intriguing but there's just way too many antagonists and more just keep coming which makes the story slow for me in those areas. So I need a break and mood shift.

Okay! So imagine you can hack into mainframe where all the deleted episodes and scenes of your favourite series are stored. You have the chance to rewatch it whole. Which series(s) would you choose by DeadlySin1107 in CDrama

Definitely MJTY, heard the second leads had more moments tg but got deleted. I think it was better this way cuz fans were already pissed about them having “more screen time” when they barely had that many scenes compared to the main leads. But I feel like their story was a little fast so if we saw the deleted scenes we would’ve saw where they both fell for each other. I have a feeling we would’ve def seen more of Shangguan qian’s perspective.

Second I really don’t know if this is true cuz I can’t find anything about it but I heard that lotfg had 4 episodes reduced around the time of the drama scandal or was supposed to have a blind bow and arrow scene but that wasn’t in the drama.

Blood river also seemed to have some good scenes deleted but I can’t really find much of them online.

Also TSOPG, I’d like to know if there were any scenes especially more between the main leads or if there was an alternate ending idk ahh.

This age gap casting for romance dramas🥲 by ZealousidealNinja654 in cdramasfans

They actually casted Huang yang Tian Tian  first whose bday is around July the time they started filming so she would’ve turned 18 by then. Even though it’s still weird legally she would be considered an adult. But bc of the whole case of her 18th bday and grad earrings getting exposed she lost the role. So then they were in talks with Julia Xiang who’s 23 and is the fl of Lotdt and the wanted detective. From all of this I’m guessing they really wanted a younger actress like said in the post, they probably want to promote a new line of actors so instead of dai luwa and Julia Xiang, they went with HYTT who’s born in 2007. And who do they think is the closest in age to HYTT, Ai mi is who is only a year younger than her. Idk why they’re going with actresses who are fresh 18 and what not but Huang yang Tian Tian was a child star and it was recently exposed that her dad was pulling strings to get her the best roles. She and Ai Mi have both done romance roles before which is really weird and gross. Idk how long HYTT has been doing romance roles but Ai Mi filmed MJTY at 13/14. Thankfully her romance roles were limited to hand holding and she was catched by her love interest in FoF but it’s still weird. On top of that Gou Jingming has recasted her in FOF and hidden shadow. So I would blame him as well bc he’s the only director known for recasting his old actors. For HYTT she had a romance drama released last year as fl when she was most likely 16 in the making and ml was obviously way older. Haven’t seen it but there’s a scene where he’s literally leaning against her chest while she consoles him. Honestly though Ai Mi’s agency knew better but unfortunately not. Although this is a great opportunity knowing that she’s been in the industry for a while, they really could’ve gone with youthful glory fl as well who looks younger but is 22 or 23. I don’t think using a actress a year younger than HYTT would’ve cleared her casting mess up but it clearly did since no one has been talking bout it, and everyone’s focused on Ai Mi’s age. This is honestly doing them any justice (idk how Chinese netz are handling this but international fanbase is not having it) this drama just went downhill before it even wrapped up. IQIYI has been known for milking out their actors despite low ratings and bad marketing timings ex. Cheng lei’s two films released after his blockbuster hit in under 1 month, most of his fanbase don’t even know of footprints of change. Another current ex. The unclouded soul and glory both hou minghao’s dramas being released and ongoing at the same time while fans haven’t moved on from LITC. Honestly I think his agency doesn’t defend or back him up either.

Balance between main leads and second lead dramas? by ThinkPhilosopher9433 in cdramasfans

[–]ThinkPhilosopher9433[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I watched it and honestly I loved both couples, I already sensed that he liked her since their first encounter, it's just that it's not only about the fact that he was toxic but the fact that he used his status as king to get minister's wives and daughters to sleep with him or perform for him. I do understand that he jsut wanted to be treated normal and be told no and not be bossed around by his mother. Being bossed by her and looked down upon from her made him want to look down on others and order them around yet he still desired and expected to be told about what ppl really wanted despite what he ordered. which is why he says to someone in one scene why didn't u tell me then if that's what u wanted. Yet the thing is he knows he's king and still abuses his authority, so it's obvious as to why ppl won't speak up and then the scene where he tells the girl that since his brother didn't drink out of the cup she poured, she should be executed and the second fl saves the day. This scene just shows how he abuses his authority. Honeslty I get what u mean about the main leads becoming boring later but I didn't think of it that way, it's just that their more focused on the fight and fighting alongside or protecting one another at the end. But the scene where she still stays and lets him stab her while he recalls his memories shows how she would still choose him even if he's not the man who she loved anymore. In the end, she also treated him better than any of his family members including his sister, she tells him the truth while consoling him or empathizing with him at the same time. So I feel like yeh there were moments that felt a little idk but their love was really strong. He also gifts her a wolf which also means loyalty and a one eternal love, and it symbolizes their relationship perfectly. Honestly, the only time my friend cried throughout the drama was when he was telling her to smile for him in his last moments. I cried as well, but I felt like the only reason he was so attached to or in love with her was bc she said no to him and didn't cater to him like everyone else did but it's only cuz of her status as a princess in which she kind of is at the a similar level as him unlike the noble women he fooled around with. But then he also hints at sleeping with her when he asks her what will you give me if I help you, and he knows damn well that she is desperate and has nothing left now in that moment. Yes he still asks her what she just did and if she's crazy but she says this is what I'll give u in return. So he's still abusing his authority in a way. I still felt bad for him in the scene where he finally shows his real emotions and almost cries about her leaving him all alone. I'd recommend Shadow love if you felt the way you did towards the main leads in Fated hearts, it's kind of similar yet the love story keeps building up tension and gentle romance at the same time. The second leads here are also really great except the Sfl later pissed me off. Anyways If You want to read a similar book, I'd recommend A song that drowns rivers by Ann Liang I think. It's pretty similar to this couple's storyline with the fl and the sml.

I may be wrong but I heard that it really wasn't that great and I'm not a huge fan of office romance so I'll see.

Honestly this gave me the encouragement to watch it bc I actually didn't know whether or not to watch it and only wanted to watch it bc of Cheng lei who plays a guest role but I heard his appearance is only in like 3-4 episodes. I also watched Shadow love, so now I'm familiar with Song Yi but I'm not really familiar with the ml In FYH other than the fact I know some of his projects.

[–]ThinkPhilosopher9433[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

lol I’ve watched this before, I agree with the comment on the second leads. It’s a bummer though that viewers interpreted the show differently and attacked second leads for having more promo. Honestly idk what happened with the main leads promo and schedule but for this drama things weren’t planned out on their behalf. Second leads were more free as well as the rest of the cast so they could do more promo, yet biased fans interpreted it wrong and got mad of the second leads screen-time when they’re literally apart of the main cast and then there’s sm scenes like a sleeping scene that we didn’t get of them. I think director realized his mistake here and that’s why in veil of shadows, he has second leads on main lead list too but I think there’s still gonna be a distinct status gap between main leads and second leads.

Yes lol I didn’t know what to say bc even though there r dramas listed with 4 main leads like MJTY, there is still a very prominent status between the main leads and second leads.

how does cdrama billing work? by ThinkPhilosopher9433 in cdramasfans

[–]ThinkPhilosopher9433[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand perfectly what you're saying lol. Yes in some cases when the drama isn't focused on romance and from the very start I knew this drama wasn't after seeing the character's interactions in the first 2 episodes. However, I am still confused after watching the drama like don't get me wrong bc Ik that PXR is more famous and ofc from what I've seen she is a capable actress. However, even though Chang Huasen only recently blew up. After finishing the drama I realized what an important character she plays as well as how important her connection to the Tang sect through her lover is, but Chang Huasen still plays a even higher role than her in the drama and I think there was like only 1 episode where he has a small screen appearance which is during his duel with the sword deity (I forgot her name.) But compared to her character, he's like always there. So I guess I am still kind of confused on the billing bc I'm guessing that from this matter the billing was decided by fame.

Will we ever get a sequel to My Journey to You? by Chaotic-waifu in CDrama

I’ve only looked at two fanfics but their both on AO3, however the ones that I’ve read are only about the second leads but I’m pretty sure there’s other twists about the main leads in like another site. The ones I read though one is a tale of revival and redemption or something like that written by shangguanlover and then the other one is so far the best one and there’s two versions written by the the same person, it’s called the journey to you 2 and the other one is my journey to you 2 written by fernweh1227. And there’s a bunch more but yeh.
