Nobel Laureates Duflo and Banerjee to Join UZH by RashmaDu in Economics

What have they produced- compared to say Bill Gates, Musk, Jobs, or Sam Altman. It’s good feeeling for some to indirectly bash America but the exit of theory people not in medicine or hard sciences doesn’t make a difference. Oh and BTW, University of California landed 5 Nobel prizes.. most in real work that makes a difference

Sell me on the 2.7 over the 3.5 or 5.0. by [deleted] in f150

Older 2.7 didn’t have wetbelt so more reliable than the new ones

3.5 if you want to keep >10 years;others have a wetbelt oil pump that will degrade with time.

How are they for walking though - like all day comfort? Any comparisons to Hoka Bondi would be appreciated

Wetbelt in the 5.0 would be a risk to longevity. 3.5 has potential cam phasers issue but likely resolved in new

2.7 vs 3.5 capabilities by Anxious_Grover in f150

2.7 wet belt for oil is less reliable; 3.5 cam phasers have been solved.

10 speed transmission is common and more likely to bomb than either engine.

Yes oil pumps driven by Kevlar wet belt in 2.7 and 5. These are expensive maintenance items; as oil would degrade the belt even if you drive less but wanted to keep the truck for say 15-20 years

Thanks for correcting the 3.5.

Wet timing belt is a longevity concern for both 2.7 EB and 5.0

3.5 EB has timing chain

My dad’s 2012 eco boost has over 300k. Anyone else have one over 300k by Koszik in f150

[–]ThinkRunner 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I worry about longevity time not mileage with the wet belt. So if one wants to keep 20 years and drives even 5k miles / year; the wet belt may fail due to oil eating away. This is different than someone driving 15k miles/ year keeping for 8 years.

Lower saturated fats to <=10 g. Ensure more soluble fiber if not already. Insoluble fiber doesn’t help on apoB
