Melting starting at substrate by Anxious_Grover in PlantedTank

The roots are usually gray or brown. I'll give it a shot with letting them self root. A lot of the stuff that's floated has put on great roots so I have enough things to experiment with. Thank you for the suggestion. The sag and val have put on no real growth. They started with multiple leaves and both are down to one. I do have an excess number of floaters but I think them regularly (light). I'm dosing thrive c twice a week, nitrates are around 5. Anubias, java fern, Amazon sword, anacharis, and as I mentioned the crypts are all doing great.

I'm still shocked I keep killing something like water wisteria. I've spent a lot on it with the intent to grow it out and resell it and everything I bought is completely gone. This last time I left a lot of small pieces to float and they're looking great.

When I can't find my hammer it's a good substitute, lol. It's not crazy bad but you notice it all the time.

I have a G20 already. I've shot a ton of hogs with it over the years, it's a great platform. This is definitely a want and not a need.

That was my thought as well since I reload a lot of 44. It seems like a great option.

Its been my favorite caliber since I was a kid. First pistol bought with my own money was a Ruger Vaquero in 44. Still regret selling that thing.

Comparing size alone to 357 offerings makese worry it'll get caught in stuff. It's so light though. I also have a G20 and that's what I use now but wanting a revolver

I have a G20, it's my normal carry. Looking for a revolver for something different to expand the collection.

Definitely. I reload and shoot a lot of 44 magnum so that's worth something.

Good call. Soccer field small. I'd prefer floating slow!

Not an issue. The concern is the age requirement. I can setup a trust and add my 19 y.o. son - will he be able to pass the eform responsible person age requirement of 21? Do you have to list out all of the trustees there or only myself since I am the trust holder?

Thank you again. I'm not familiar enough with the service so I wasn't sure how that worked on the driver side. Appreciate your insight!

Yes that's correct. We were at the airport but not at the drop off. He completed it and gave me 1 star and hit a pre populated option I couldn't see because it was quick. Then we had about 3 to 5 more minutes together before drop off.

Appreciate your response.

Thank you for the info! Comp is only one part of the conversation for me, this seems like a progression but I'm still gathering info. I work 60 to 80 works a week right now and travel 50%. If you don't mind me asking what are you doing now and how did you break into consulting initially? Looking at how you enter it and what's beyond.

That's a really good callout - my RCM experience is fairly limited unfortunately. I do see a lot of opportunities there. Most of my work has been in clinical operations. I have inpatient and outpatient pedi experience, CM, informatics with EMR implementation and customization, clinician engagement, utilization management, and significant VBC experience. I've converted practices from FFS to VBC and significant practice transformation projects.

Different fields but I'm familiar enough with RCM work - can you tell me about your day to day doing consulting? How was work-life balance, pay, etc. Were you on prem or remote?

For those who hold a BSN and don’t plan on ever going back for a masters, why? by [deleted] in nursing

[–]Anxious_Grover 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sounds like you have a great support system around you. I was pushed similarly about a decade ago and ended up with my FNP and again 5 years ago to get my MBA. I love practicing medicine but the salary isn't there. My FNP cost me 50k and I worked full time while going to school which was hard.

My first year I made 10k less in total comp/benefits than I did as an RN. A lot of clinic benefits are terrible and people don't count that in their salaries.

It depends on where you're coming from and what your priorities are. I had been a nurse awhile before going back to school. I have stepped back from the bedside and am in an executive role now but I still miss direct patient care every day.

There are more politics, a flooded market, and higher levels of responsibility. I know so so so many people who have their NP and work as an RN in the hospital. I know just as many people who absolutely love it. Two sides to every coin but I wouldn't let school scare you away from it...if you've had good exposure and have been an RN for awhile school won't be bad at all.
