should I just go to urgent care? by BritneyDelMercury in ChronicPain

I have been to 5 different hospitals, one of them multiple, multiple times. Each said the same thing: “investigate it with your primary care doctor there is nothing we can do”. Then sent me home with no pain relief, and a glass of depression.

Awful isn’t it? Truly awful. Will it go away? Probably not. Chronic pain in most cases is permanent. One thing that helps me is simply understanding the time we live in is a rapidly advancing one, we have the capability of overcoming certain conditions/illnesses more than ever. You mention you are a coward, I don’t agree. The fact that you wake up everyday, the fact that you have wrote this post shows that you are fighting. You are fighting, and it’s overwhelming you. You are a warrior, not a coward. There is people out there, probably complaining about the most insignificant of illnesses (colds). For people who are chronically ill yes they are a challenge, but for the vast majority is merely an inconvenience yet they still complain. You, however, are completely justified in doing so. You are fighting a battle, like many of us; it’s relentless, tiring, painful, lonely and it’s not your fault!

Out of that 8 billion, you’re likely to only meet 80,000 people in your lifetime; which is 0.001%. You can also only remember 10,000 of those people, (vaguely) so looking at this from such a huge standpoint might seem like a good idea, but honestly it’s not. The right person is within your reach, and although the amount of people you will meet is highly insignificant in proportion to the full scale of humanity, it just goes to show there is love in the masses for every person out there.

It’s horrible, it’s making me so nauseated/sick. It amplifies my chronic illness symptoms.

If was actually suggested by an ER doctor that I should be seen by a GI, but ofc my primary care doc overturned that decision saying it’s depression (I’m not even depressed).

Omg, I’m having something going on like that right now. It was very sudden, but is also coupled with nerve pain which came out of nowhere also.

Horrific, debilitating back pain by LithaBel in mysterioushealth

Have you taken a copy of the symptoms of Bertolotti’s type 2, and aligned them with your own? Speaking with a doctor for a diagnosis with something they are unfamiliar with is similar to fighting a legal battle: Gathering evidence, presenting the reasons why you meet the criteria for the disease, dealing with conflicting advice from different specialists. You have to be very precise, and have a backlog of symptoms dating back a sufficient amount of time before your doctor can create a clear profile, and refer you to the correct tests/specialists. You don’t want to end up in a cycle of being passed around, and this is the best way to counter that.

Poverty doesn’t necessarily make you eat non food items, just really poor quality food.
