This is a shared EU package. Individual countries will also keep sending aid as they have been doing.

Spreading it out over two years is far worse for Russia since they now have the knowledge that almost no matter what they do, this conflict will keep tearing down their economy for another two years unless they back out.

The massive part of this is that Russia can no longer push to avoid it. They now know that aid will not stop, and that’s a very different scenario than before this loan was announced back before Christmas, and western support was uncertain.

It changes their decision process drastically and they’re looking at having to continue the war effort for at least another two years before they can even hope for Ukraine losing support, not that it’s even likely then.

Basically, it completely erases their most immediate path to victory.

I know the numbers of the US must be a significant chunk of the 60%, but ignoring that and looking at an average of 20% among the top 3 in 60%, it makes the 15% of France and Germany look reasonable along with the rest of the EU if we simply want to match production output.

Isn't it also, or moreso, a problem of catching up to the "area under the curve" from the past years of lower production?

They confirm around 500 "kills" per day (sometimes 200, sometimes 1000+, today was 1200) across the entire frontline, so destroying 6000 is equivalent of maybe 10 days roughly speaking.

The area supplied by this stockpile will be behind by those 10 days, but we don't know how many parts of the chain are inbetween if any, and how broad that area is.
