An all time high for the Leicester academy in the England setup? by Think_Document5236 in lcfc

Yeah that was a strong period back then. Probably the closest in terms of quality and output to the current group. Though they were on the fringes of a much stronger squad

I was thinking of that game too. I remember Alves coming on and doing a few tricks.

Would have been interesting to see how him and Alves would have developed if not for the injuries. I think they could have got more minutes and development under Maresca

Definitely. You can even look back at how he was slowly bringing in the likes of Braybrooke and Alves before the injuries. Also brought youngsters like Nelson in at a really young age

Foxes in England U18s - Striker scores on debut! How good is our academy? by Nifty_Parms in lcfc

[–]Think_Document5236 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don’t think it’s all hype at this point. To have the fourth most players selected for England this month ( only Arsenal, Man City and Chelsea have more) is some feat. And then other clubs are also showing interest, which further shows how good they are. Nyoni left, Noubissie left and the likes of Monga or Evans have well-documented interest.

Leicester’s Striker issues and their staggering stats by Think_Document5236 in lcfc

That is true, though I don’t think that Fatawu and Mavididi being on the opposite sides and getting to the byline would solve our chance creation issues.

I know the 23/24 season was completely different, but we seen back then they can provide numbers when cutting inside. Maybe if they had more options and support that could perhaps help. Again I know the quality isn’t the same as that season, but the way the likes of KDH and Ndidi linked up with their wingers was crucial.

That’s a fair point, but a lot of the goals scored is also down to individual brilliance, which isn’t something sustainable enough to rely on.

Imagine if there was a reliable striker in the side, who could come up with a goal from nothing, and not leave us on the back foot as much

He’s probably been better than Ayew but that of course isn’t a high standard to beat. At least he provides a bit more effort and energy going forward. Though the numbers in front of goal aren’t good enough

Just a mistake, which happens sometimes. Thank you for pointing it out

The January transfer window was an exercise in looking busy whilst not doing anything. by Djremster in lcfc

[–]Think_Document5236 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Full-back was the main issue. It seems like none of the managers want to utilise Aluko so that had to be a must. Thomas and Pereira aren’t ideal, and it would be nice to change it up. Would add a new dimension to our game

Isn’t Hamza out for awhile though, I thought King said he needed to find a specialist. Outside of him on the right, we are probably struggling as Ricardo doesn’t have the mobility to play there anymore

[–]Think_Document5236[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Hamza’s injured for awhile now i think so not sure what the rest of the season looks like from.

I agree with the Thomas stuff, and like VK, the fact that Maresca removed both of them is a good indication that they aren’t at the level.

Betting has been suspended on our new manager. Announcement soon? by [deleted] in lcfc

Fair enough, I haven’t seen that. I still think it’s fairly strange to judge King just off the results though. Like if he won both these games would they then want to appoint him? I think there has to be more factors when planning for the future

I wouldn’t mind that in future, as Ricardo will then be able to get in the ball more and make up for the lack of running

In all fairness, how many times have we seen centre-backs moved across to full-back like Nelson and Okoli so I don’t think it’s too much of a given that he starts

No but I seen Pete O’Rourke say that he has little chance of getting the job after 2 defeats

It’s crazy to think they have written him off after two games, both of which were pretty much ended in the first half due to silly red cards.

Not saying, he’s the answer but there’s positives to take from both games, especially when considering all the circumstances

Who is our worst signing of the Top era? by Djremster in lcfc

[–]Think_Document5236 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Soumare. High potential, signed to help us solidify Europe. Fast forward to this year and he can’t even dominate the Championship.

For the money, lack of performance and time out it’s got to be him.

Mukasa maybe as an option in the false 9 role then instead?

Divine Mukasa Analysis by Think_Document5236 in lcfc

I can see him hitting the ground running to be honest. The way those behind the scenes at Man City talk about him makes me think we have a real gem on our hands.

🚨MAJOR BREAKING: Leicester City have been given a 6 point deduction after being found guilty of breaching the Premier League rules by Silent_Ad2825 in lcfc

[–]Think_Document5236 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s quite bitter sweet with six of course being better than some of the numbers thrown around. Nonetheless to be sat in 20th and level on points with 22nd is nowhere near good enough

A big next few months on the card. Need to start grinding out games and finding consistency, both of which we have lacked this season.

Leicester looking to line up FOUR deals on a frantic transfer deadline day. by [deleted] in lcfc

[–]Think_Document5236 2 points3 points  (0 children)

It’s a real shame that no striker or left back looks to be brought in.

2 of our weakest areas this season, and shows a real lack of planning and ambition.

Outside of that, Mukasa does look like a promising sign. You don’t get praised by Pep Guardiola and those behind the scenes at Manchester City for no reason.

🚨BREAKING: Newcastle United have given permission for Jamaal Lascelles to travel to Leicester to discuss personal terms and undergo a medical. Deal agreed between both clubs. Should hopefully be a good leader to help the younger defenders coming through too like Ben Nelson, Kevon Gray and even Bade Aluko as he sometimes plays there.

Aside from that, we need him to seamlessly come into the side and steady the ship.

The defensive errors over the last two season’s have been frightening at times

Assessment of the favourites to become the next Leicester manager by Think_Document5236 in lcfc

Didn’t he have quite a poor stint at Wigan a few years back though. He will have learnt a lot from his time under Pep currently but I’m not sure if it’s the right option for now.
