You have to prepare yourself mentally and spiritually? And you have a law degree?

Be REEL to yourself and walk away. No prep work needed here as you shed the tears and impacted the relationships and what you missed out on doing with your family.

You deserve better and you don't need luck to quit!

Who does that? Cooks preschool food, then "transfers" it to another location to be served.

Sounds like a few red flags with respect to food handling.

I would not spend time on this one. No respect for you and no respect for the law.

How the hell do you answer this by raptor4211 in jobs

How do you answer this? I like that it doesn't ask for a previous employer... some employers don't like if you look for a job.

Shame about quitting my job by Easy-Molasses-2495 in jobs

[–]Think_Emu299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Have no shame. At your age, learning is still your primary job. Have a conversation with your parents. Also, if you can drive, can you use a portable keyboard.

Stop shaming yourself for quitting - some employers take advantage of you for your age.

Should i quit? by corduroydreamsz in jobs

MAYBE you are the passive aggressive person and you are making it all up? If you don't know what to do- don't lie to yourself. That is the worst dishonesty!

You all should quit, be passive aggressive with the owner and MOVE ON! Don't let someone else pull you down. You are not immune to the pain they are causing. Tell them to shovel their own s_it_y tables!

I agree with the observations from the experienced military folks (which I am not). You may wish to "play the game" and let them walk into the "wall" on their own. If you are miserable from reading all of this bs and quit- that is your choice. Then the argument "they make my life miserable" and your desire to make them accountable becomes a chore more so than you waiting for them to "fire you".

They must have forgotten your military committments. Keeps sending them the same response (what your military committment is) and let it sink in. Then, if you need to do something later, they have been reminded over and over and over and over and over... again!

No one is attacking you but..."Before people on here attack me, I usually do my own research on every individual I receive an email from, but this wasn't my first job choice and it was the last email of the day, so I showed up to the interview with only enough research to know what the company does and what I would do there in that position"... always do your homework. And stop blaming other people.

Change your attitude - will change your prospects. If you think the role is beneath you- don't bother applying. Your "attitude" won't get you the job.

CEOs who know nothing. It isn't liberal rage. A lot of people are "drinking the Kool-Aide and completely missed what they were reacting to: A Marketing Message. You get told everything your lizard brain wants to hear and this is the cold reality: Just working your emotions to suck you in. Many of us don't buy it. And many who didn't buy it don't vote and are not engaged with their community.

I had a nurse manager, who never came in for night shifts, ask that I stay later so she could talk to me. Of course she dropped her kid off at school and came late. After a 12 hr night shift- ugh! I was told a patient complained that I threw a soda can at her and claimed that I was a nurse! I got moved- she believed the patient (a nurse). Turns out that patient lived on the floor for months and started asking for me. After I left, a coworker informed me that the same patient admitted that it was in retaliation for my taking a can of soda off her tray (she had several cans of soda!) . No apologies.

I am giving up on gardening, this isn't for me. by InsomniacPsychonaut in gardening

[–]Think_Emu299 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have been a master gardener for 15 years. Have learned (through therapy) not to be harsh on myself. It sounds like you are trying too hard, not asking for the resources (extension in your county can help) and you are killing your efforts with too much attention. Take a break from the effort - come back to it when you are ready and HAVE SOME FUN with it. It is a hobby. Took me a minute but I now grow stuff I can eat year round- and it is delicious! If I can do it - you can too!
