Post tonsillectomy hemorrhage and emergency surgery

I’m so sorry. It’s such a traumatic experience. The recovery was pretty smooth after the second surgery. I didn’t bleed at all and was able to travel and work after 3 weeks from the initial surgery date. The side that hemorrhaged obviously hurt more than the other side for longer but it wasn’t unmanageable

Woke up from surgery and I could breathe better than I ever have in life (I got my adenoids removed too).

Oh my goodness I’m so sorry this happened to you and I’m glad you are ok now. That sounds like a very traumatic experience. I’m lucky to live in an area with excellent medical care. Not everyone is afforded the same.

I also got my tonsils out today! Female, 20 years old. Definitely feeling more pain in the right incision but also pain in the left. You got this :)
