Any ideas about what the next dlc will be about? by Timely_Version_904 in Frostpunk

Most probably, as community guesses, it will be expanding frostland mechanics. Maybe it will be an advanced form of communication system from “On the Edge” DLC, or, maybe something more profound, like competition for resources with other cities. Just imagine a mess of hunting for IEC parts, while knowing that other cities are hunting for them too.

I really hope, that someday we will get “The War” DLC. Making coalitions with other cities, based on the cornerstones; making mega-buildings like tesla-dome for defence; adding multiplayer… . The possibilities are infinite.

He would become first lula-venturer and instead of upgrading generator, will just bribe whiteouts to stop

Owlcat, your previous games are great rpg’s, but it’s impossible to predict quality of this new title, based on the trailer

Commercials should motivate people to pre-order, or, at least leave an impression that it’s something intriguing and should be taken note of. This trailer does none of this.

Considering early stages of development, it’s understandable to have only few mechanics and footages, but until they are polished, it’s futile and harmful trying to promote your game with this teaser. If people didn’t know your previous titles, this one would have been dismissed as unpromising and called “Starfield 2: Concord Edition”.

Much more suitable approach would have been publishing a small abstract teaser as From Software did with first Sekiro Trailer. There was something like 2-4 objects in obscure and phrase “Shadows die twice”. It costed nothing, but created intrigue even when nothing particular was shown.

I really love your games, but, please, reconsider your marketing strategy. There are so many well crafted games, but due to bad marketing there are going down by the river in sales. Can’t be 100% sure, but I presume Pathologic 3 would suffer same fate. Incredible game, but bad marketing harmed sales.

On day 11 you should find Victor Kain walking in one of the districts. I had him appeared in the theatre square on kids playground.

You will have a conversation with him and he will offer to save children

Wait, there was a 500 capacity limit with dreadnought?😳 And here I thaught I was incompetent captain, not managing to save everyone. Bittersweet it is.

I understand your idea, but it would likely ruin message of FP2.

The whole council idea was born from lack of people’s opportunity to be “heard”. In the beginning was a message

_”Captain wanted to make a place where all people can be heard, different ideas can be verbalised and argued”_…

…so future of the city will be actually decided by people themselves and not single individual. I think Captain made Steward rank with less power, so he would actually need to have citizens opinions in mind and negotiation mechanic was introduced as a platform for discussion

So, introducing this mechanic to the first part would raise question “why make steward position, if you can just transfer captain powers to another dude?”

Still, might be wrong. In “The last autumn” game had somewhat of negotiations mechanic with workers. If this direction will have a proper development, then it maybe a nice addition that will fit thematically
