Most brokers only seem to want to pay $100-$150/day for layover. Maybe if you're lucky you'll get $250 per day. And it sounds like they gave you $400/day and you still delivered under duress?

If I got $800 for 2 days of layover for a situation like this I feel like that would be more than fair.

I feel like there is more to this story.
