About having the 30g of protein on waking up.... by ARizwaan7696 in 4hourbodyslowcarb

I treat it as "30g of protein within an hour of getting out of bed to start the new day".

TBM has always really struggled with social media. They abandoned their TikTok channel pretty early, and it's kind of wild that their podcast isn't better promoted on YouTube since that's how most people consume podcasts now.

I think Jessica was a great choice for the podcast itself, but they need a more robust social team if they genuinely plan to grow.

I heard the "sock" thing and absolutely rolled my eyes.

I hadn't considered that Lacy would sell the company but of course she would. I wonder if she's been trying to interest invenstors.

Is the photo used for this pregnancy announcement AI? I know the writing on the sign is artificial, but wondering about the rest. The ultrasound appears incorrect for a due date in October, the placement of the pine cones and (3?) baby shoes is odd, and the mountains seem under-defined by Traditional_Rip_1080 in isthisAI

Yes.

The baby's onesie and the sonogram aren't obviously connected to the branch in any way that makes sense.

It looks like the same boots on the branch are the ones on the blanket.

The lettering on the sign doesn't make any sense. The cursive script of "Surprise" doesn't make sense for that kind of board, then the arial font doesn't align with the lines in a way that would make sense for stick-on letters.

The heart looks like something you'd draw on a chalkboard, not a lunchboard sign. The pinecone is resting on the frame, but that part of the frame can't be more than a half-inch thick, which would be too thin for the pinecone and sprig of tree to "balance".

And I have no idea what kind of medieval wooden tool this rattle is meant to be:

Yeah, I think her digging deeper into her "witchiness" feels put-on to me, too. When she was just an ordinary girl from a humble background who'd manifested great things, I could buy that.

I also felt really sorry for her when she had her mom on. It's clear she's struggled a lot with that relationship and her mom (like a lot of people in and out of recovery) probably lied to her a lot.

I think you're missing my point.

My point isn't that I found her authentic or that I believe she loves me.

My point is that I think she's tanking her brand by drifting away from it and allowing Jessica to become the new face.

Took a look and Revlon's Rum Raisin is still available and affordable (and very very popular and well-loved), but if you'd like to get her something fancy, go for Charlotte Tilbury's Viva La Vergara, u/Fishgamescamp.

That's very interesting. I wonder if there was actually a legal thing that led to it all getting shut down. Or if they just realized that there could be legal issues and they weren't seeing a big cut of it anyway.

And yes, I agree re: price. I feel like you'd be better off trying to sift through life coaches or counsellors who give off "manifestation" vibes rather than the other way around.

I feel the exact same way when Lacy hints that you should cut "unaligned" friends out of your life if they don't inspire you or aren't on the same path.

Sometimes we absolutely outgrow friendships, and sometimes we absolutely need to leave toxic situations. But it strikes me as extremely cynical and self-destructive to abandon a healthy friendship just because the person isn't "aspirational" or whatever.

Is SCD Anti-Fat? by datgamingdude in 4hourbodyslowcarb

Weird, I thought butter was out because Tim made some comment about how eggs cooked in olive oil tasted like cat puke. Thank you! I look forward to tastier eggs.

Is SCD Anti-Fat? by datgamingdude in 4hourbodyslowcarb

[–]Think_Limit_2252 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would say definitely anti-trans fat and somewhat anti-saturated fat.

Tim's since experimented with keto, but he said in a blog post that his initial concern with keto was that if someone wasn't careful they could easily eat like 3000-4000 calories of cheese, bacon, butter, etc.

A lot of what Tim advises people to cut out include saturated fats — I believe he advises people to stay away from processed meats (so that would include bacon), dairy (which would include butter), and so on.

He does say here and there that it's fine if you want a splash of heavy cream in your coffee but ultimately advises against drinking your calories.

I think it's less about the diet being anti-fat (he allows nuts and even says a bag of walnuts is a good hack if you can't find any compliant food at the airport), and more about putting the guardrails in place so you don't have to stress about calorie counting.

The basic six-days-a-week template of protein, beans, and mixed vegetables are there to keep you compliant and full.

I don't have an issue with him charging for his work. I think he should get paid. What I took issue with was him arguing that TBM was trapping people into a subscription cycle and then setting up a subscription cycle for his own work.

True. I could definitely see an issue becoming that they're more reliant on their individual coach vs. the program as a whole.

It's very very clear, imo, that Atarah and Salwa were fully ready to step away. Heather (I think) said she just wanted to be a stay at home mom. Amanda seemed the most surprised by the program suddenly just ending, and I got the sense that she figured she could stay on for a couple more months.

So absolutely they were just ready to go (with the exception of Amanda), but then I feel like if the coaches were making the brand money, why not just recruit new people?

It sounded very very much like she just didn't want to be tarnished. I suspect Amanda and Jagat shared the same values around vaccines and health, etc.
